Less Is More challenge #8

Hi everyone! Another card another challenge. I did this card when I skyped with Sherry on the weekend as well and only now getting around to putting it up on my blog. I worked all day yesterday and was just too tired when I got home to even check my blog or anything as it was very busy in the library. Simply Less Is More challenge blog is only fairly new and is co-run by an old friend of Sherry and me as in we three used to do the 365 card challenge very single day for months and months and months lol. That is how I met Sherry several years ago now and there were many of us that became very friendly and we still comment on each others blogs etc. This is why I love blogging so much as you meet so many lovely women during your journey. So I will say hello to Chrissie from Less is More hehe *waving madly*. The sketch we were to follow is below. . . .

This is my take on the above sketch.

Less is More means just that, clean and simple which I find very difficult to do so it was a real challenge for me personally. I used SU En Francais background stamp (a fav of mine) a large Prima flower and I surprised myself by using a flower from my hoarding vault!!! The DSP is from BG. That is it. So until next time. . . .

FTL #133

Hi everyone! Here I am with another card challenge. I am slowly getting back into the swing of things lol. I haven't done a Clean and Simple challenge for a while now so while Sherry and I were skyping this morning we both made a card for the challenge. Mine will be winging it's way to Sherry on Thursday with a large parcel that should have gone by now but hasn't. The sketch we were to follow is below. . . .

Here is my take on the above sketch. I have used all SU product except for the embossing folder. I absolutely love this ribbon and have been waiting for ages to be able to put an order in and get some. This came the other day with the rest of my supplies including the Modern Label Punch I have used for the sentiment. Okay I am working all day tomorrow so I am off to bed.

Card Positioning Systems - #210

Hello again everyone. Here is another challenge by Card Positioning Systems which I finished the same time as I did the Papercraft Star challenge. I used all new SU product again to create my card. The sketch we were to follow is below. . .

This is my take on the above sketch. I used a new stamp set that is in our current mini catalogue which finishes on the 31st March as does the lace. The DSP is in the new mini catalogue which commences on the 1st April. I am totally loving all my new toys hehehe. It does make a difference when you have lots of nice product to work with. This Early Expresso colour from SU is such a rich brown and has become my firm favourite to use. Here it is both used for the cardstock as well as the ink. Okay I am going to search for more challenges to do hehehe as the bug has bitten once again to make cards. Don't get me wrong I will always love making mini albums and I have three to make for family two will be for christmas presents and one for my Mum for her birthday in May or Mothers Day. I am going to fill that one with heaps of pics of her great grandbabies hehehe. Sorry I digress. . . .again! Alright I am going this time.
In the meantime though. . . .

Papercraft Star #38

Hello there everyone. I got all my new SU products plus some new things from the new Autumn mini catalogue and I have to say I am in love with it all. So on this first card there is a sneak peek at a new product. My card uses all SU product and it was so much fun using new things.
This challenge is for Papercraft Star and my first time taking part although I have had their link on my blog for a while it is only now that I am getting or feeling the urge to make cards again. So please enjoy taking a look.

Here is my take on the sketch at the top. Everything I have used with the exception of the DSP is current and the DSP will be available as of the 1st April. Send me an email if you would like to place an order on bohemiangypsy@dodo.com.au but only if you live in Australia as there are boundaries hehe.

Our Vintage Affair Design Team March Altered Kitchen Item

Well hello everyone!! For our March altered item challenge over at Our Vintage Affair we had to do something for the kitchen. So after many ideas I finally decided to do a note pad come sign for the kitchen. I have used Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess for the paper and for the Pot and the Chicken I have used From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge which is fast becoming a total fav of mine. I also used the Storybook cartridge for the lettering. On the white pad I inked all the edges of the whole pad with Vintage Photo Distress ink and then I used a hinge clip to hold it to the board and then to cover that I used a small Prima rose. I also put those roses in several other places and I thought they just completed my project. The embellishments of the mixing spoons, the cookie jar and the red chilli are kitchen embellishments I have had for simply ages and I got to use them today. The cream crocheted lace is from my stash again I have had it for ages and then put some flatback pearls on top of the lace. I used butchers twine for the hanger and just inked the twine with Vintage Photo as well.

I hope you have enjoyed taking a look at my altered 'kitchen' item for this months challenge over at Our Vintage Affair and that you take part . The winner of the challenge will win the whole set of 6 papers from the newest 3ndypapir collection "Sweetheart". And - a spot of Guest Designer for the upcoming challenge! I would love to see what you make. so why don't you join in. Okay that is it until next time.

Our Vintage Affair Design Team entry

EDIT: Just have to let you all know that I got an Honourable Mention for my photo box on Our Vintage Affair. So I am quite happy with that I think. Thanks for all the lovely comments.

Hi there everyone!! It has been quite some time since I blogged last I know but I was busy working in the library and a few weeks ago my friend Sherry gave me a link to a blog called Our Vintage Affair which she said was right up my alley and it so was. When I went to visit I discovered that they were having a design team call so I quickly made my photobox and did a video on it but did not get around to posting on my blog nor did I get around to applying for the team due to becoming sick with a virus. . . .however I did in fact apply today even though I still feel unwell I knew that I wanted a chance to be a part of this design team so I dragged myself out of bed to get it done. I am so happy that I made the effort too. So ladies, and gents if you happen to read my blog please cross your fingers for me. Below is my entry for the design team I hope you enjoy taking a look. The pic is of my little grandaughter Sophia who at the time of the pic was 15months old and is now 2 1/2 yrs old boy time flys.

This first pic is a back view of the box. . .

This is the inside of the box. . .

and this is the top of the box. I had so much fun making this and the girls on the blog provided the template for the box which I chose to follow. Okay I am going back to bed.
