Card Patterns - #124

Hello once again everyone. Here it is another day and I have another card for you. I did this one at the same time as the other one yesterday but I thought that I would put them up a day apart. Below is the sketch that we were to follow over at Card Patterns and we could turn it whichever way worked for us.

Here is my card following the above sketch. I used Basic Grey's Curio 6x6 paper pad, SU cardstock (of course lol), stamp pad in Early Expresso, stamp sets Aviary and Short and Sweet for the sentiment, ribbon from my stash, flower from I Am Roses and the pearl hearts I have had in my stash for over two years and only now decided to use them hehehe.

Well that is all for another day but in the meantime. . .

Sweet Sunday Sketch - #126

Heeellllooo Bloggers!! It has been quite a while since I did a post and there have been extenuating circumstances that have kept me from blogging or crafting for that matter. I won't go into it here as it is rather private and to do with my family but I have not felt much like crafting for some time. Today I had to teach a private scrapbooking class and decided to work on a couple of sketches after my student went home. I looked for a challenge or two and found Karen's Sweet Sunday challenge which I used to do on a regular basis with my friend Sherry. What better way to get back into the swing of things. I had so much fun making this card and it did take some time as I am so anal about where things go etc lol. Below is the sketch we were to follow. . . .

And here is my card following that sketch. I really love how it turned out. I used The Timsters Vintage Shabby paper pad and Basic Greys Out of Print 6x6 paper pad. I used SU cardstock, inks, and pom pom trim as well as the eyelet border punch. My flowers are from I Am Roses and I cannot do without these flowers now. The stamped image is from Kaisercraft and the sentiment is a SU one.

Okay until the morning that is all from me tonight.

FTL #133

Hi everyone! Here I am with another card challenge. I am slowly getting back into the swing of things lol. I haven't done a Clean and Simple challenge for a while now so while Sherry and I were skyping this morning we both made a card for the challenge. Mine will be winging it's way to Sherry on Thursday with a large parcel that should have gone by now but hasn't. The sketch we were to follow is below. . . .

Here is my take on the above sketch. I have used all SU product except for the embossing folder. I absolutely love this ribbon and have been waiting for ages to be able to put an order in and get some. This came the other day with the rest of my supplies including the Modern Label Punch I have used for the sentiment. Okay I am working all day tomorrow so I am off to bed.

Card Positioning Systems - #210

Hello again everyone. Here is another challenge by Card Positioning Systems which I finished the same time as I did the Papercraft Star challenge. I used all new SU product again to create my card. The sketch we were to follow is below. . .

This is my take on the above sketch. I used a new stamp set that is in our current mini catalogue which finishes on the 31st March as does the lace. The DSP is in the new mini catalogue which commences on the 1st April. I am totally loving all my new toys hehehe. It does make a difference when you have lots of nice product to work with. This Early Expresso colour from SU is such a rich brown and has become my firm favourite to use. Here it is both used for the cardstock as well as the ink. Okay I am going to search for more challenges to do hehehe as the bug has bitten once again to make cards. Don't get me wrong I will always love making mini albums and I have three to make for family two will be for christmas presents and one for my Mum for her birthday in May or Mothers Day. I am going to fill that one with heaps of pics of her great grandbabies hehehe. Sorry I digress. . . .again! Alright I am going this time.
In the meantime though. . . .

Papercraft Star #38

Hello there everyone. I got all my new SU products plus some new things from the new Autumn mini catalogue and I have to say I am in love with it all. So on this first card there is a sneak peek at a new product. My card uses all SU product and it was so much fun using new things.
This challenge is for Papercraft Star and my first time taking part although I have had their link on my blog for a while it is only now that I am getting or feeling the urge to make cards again. So please enjoy taking a look.

Here is my take on the sketch at the top. Everything I have used with the exception of the DSP is current and the DSP will be available as of the 1st April. Send me an email if you would like to place an order on bohemiangypsy@dodo.com.au but only if you live in Australia as there are boundaries hehe.

Skipping Stones Designs

Hi everyone. Well it was a long weekend for us here in Australia and I spent the day creating my clinic room for my therapeutic massage business with my bestie Sonya. It looks fabulous and if Son had not nagged me to do it, it would still not be done ROTFLOL so many thanks Son, we did good. I went over to Karen Giron's blog today to see what the challenge was and Karen has been selected to be a guest designer for October on Skipping Stones Design blog using one of her own sketches this week. So I thought I would join in but they have not put the challenge up yet I jumped ahead of myself, but I did the card anyway so I will link up with them tomorrow perhaps. I used all Stampin' Up! supplies which included the brand new colour Early Expresso and can I say what a rich chocolate colour it is!!! It is so very yummy! I think I will be using it a whole lot over the coming months hehe. I also used Greenhouse Gala one of the new DSP collections from the new catalogue and of course my beautiful vintage brads which I cannot leave alone. I think I will be going through heaps of these in the coming year.

Okay, okay I'll get on with it hehe. Below is my card that I created. . . .

Below is the stamp set that I used with the stamp pads and the DSP collection.

Well until tomorrow when I will probably be back with another something to share with you. I hope you are all enjoying the extra daylight here in Australia.

Technostamper #140

Hi everyone. This is a challenge blog I have not seen before but Sherry assures me that it is a good one and after seeing the sketch I have to agree of course. So we made our cards while we skyped but I never seem to get my cards up on the day we make them for some unknown reason lol. This is the sketch over at Technostamper this week. . . .

. . . .and of course this is my take on the sketch. Once again I feel safe in saying the brands of all the products as we do not have access to all the Halloween goodness that Stampin Up! have to offer here in Australia like the demonstrators get in the US. So once again I used Basic Grey Eerie paper collection, Inkadinkadoo stamp set, Cuttlebug spiderweb embossing folder. All cardstock used is SU as is the little Boo stamp and tiny tag punch and string. I used Versamark and black embossing powder on the spiders and bat. The top note shape is a die from SU too. I hope you like my card because I just love it and anything Halloween in fact. So that is all for tonight gotta get to bed early for work tomorrow.

Sasya's Sketches #29

Hi there everyone. Well this is another day which brings with it another challenge of course. I decided to do Sasya's sketch again this week.

I chose white cardstock then used my SU Weathered background stamp for the small section underneath the circles on the sketch. I used Pumpkin Pie for that. Now in Australia SU do not sell any Halloween product at all whereas in the US they do and let me tell you it is the most amazing stamps, papers and embellishments. So because we don't have access to it here I feel quite easy stating the brand of the paper line and embellishments that I used as well as the stamp set. The paper is Basic Grey Eerie collection and I used SU 1 inch circle punch to punch the paper out, the chipboard is from My Mind's Eye from 2009. The ribbon is from my stash. I hope you like what I have created and please feel free to leave comments. Comments are always appreciated.

Card Patterns - #82

Hi everyone!!!! I know I have been absent for a bit. It is called studying and being sick. I got a terrible flu and lost my voice etc which scrubby just loved hehehe. I now have my voice back but it is very very scratchy, some people have called it sexy I just call it dirty old woman ROTFLOL. Okay enough frivolity it makes me cough too much. I was well enough to get into my craft room and create a card so I decided to do the Card Patterns challenge this week. Nice sketch to follow. . . .

This is my interpretation of the sketch. I would also like to add that all supplies are from Stampin Up! I am in total love with the new vintage designer paper packs for the new catalogue people. I am also in the middle of creating a paper bag mini album using this SU paper collection as well as the Newspaper paper collection which is another of my favs. I am almost finished so I will show all when it is complete. If you are interested in ordering any of the new SU lines please drop me a line on thegypsycart@gmail.com and we can get those supplies to you asap. Sorry this is only for people in Australia. I am sure that if you lived in the US or NZ that you can contact a SU Demonstrator near you. Also the new vintage stamp sets to go with the gorgeous paper lines are also out of this world and I have used them time and again already hehehe. So drop me an email if you would like to order supplies or would like to peruse a catalogue. I am off to bed now.

Sweet Sunday Sketch -#81

Hello again everyone. This was the second card that I made while skyping with Sherry lol. I really loved this sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketches and enjoyed working with it while chatting away. It was not how I originally wanted it to be but you know how it goes lol.

This is the sketch we were to follow. . . .

This is my interpretation of the above sketch. I used some of my fav paper of course and the sentiment stamp is one I bought online recently and if you would like to know the brand just email me, but I so love what it says. My SU buttons just happened to be a perfect match for the lace that I chose how was that. All cardstock and stamp pads are from SU as was the 3/4 inch circle punch. I hope you have enjoyed seeing my card and if so please leave a comment so I know you have visited.

FTL #103

Hi everyone. Well for those that go between Sherry's blog and my blog you will know that we skyped the other day and we only get to do this once a week now which is not enough in my book lol. We both made two cards and I honestly forgot to post my two creations yesterday lol. Too much study the day before and cranking out the assignment lol. So I did the Clean and Simple sketch this week and I like these sketches but I really struggle to stop lol and keep it clean and simple, just ask Sherry hehehe. So here is the sketch we were to follow. . . .

and here is my interpretation of the above sketch. I once again used my fav papers. The yellow ribbon was a gift with an order I made online. The sentiment is from SU as is the cardstock and stamp pads.

I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog and if you did please leave a comment so I know you have been.

Oh Alice Challenge Chapter 26

Hi everyone out there in Blogland lol. Well it is another week and another challenge over at Oh Alice. This week we are to follow the sketch below to create our card. But before I get to my card I have to say that my entry for last week WON!!!!. I am so thrilled as this is the first time I have ever won a challenge even though I have done so many but also it is the first time I have ever actually won a prize, so my sincere thanks go to the design team over at Oh Alice for choosing my card as the winner. . . .thankyou so much ladies!

Below is my interpretation of the above sketch. . . .

I used Tim Holtz papers and SU cardstock for both the card base and the mats. I used another fabulous image from Alice in Wonderland. I love these images they are a little dark (as in how the artist portrayed it) but so much detail. Once again I used my watercolour pencils and an aqua brush to blend. Prima flowers once again. This card is so dark compared to my card of last week lol but I still love it. I have not put a sentiment on it yet as I will leave that until I need a card. I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog and seeing my card this week.

Oh Alice Challenge Chapter 25

White Rabbit, White Gloves, White Wonderland. That is what the challenge is over at Oh Alice! this week. To create an all white card with the exception of your main image, everything including embellishments had to be white. I loved this challenge. I have been following the blog for a while but never did one of the challenges but this week was my week to complete it. As you can see by my card everything is white except for my main image which is Alice and the Red Queen. Your card does not have to include something from Alice in Wonderland but I wanted to and found some great vintagy type images so I used my Derwent watercolour pencils and an aqua brush to colour the image in. The ribbon, braiding and lace are from my stash. The white flowers are Prima E Line. I used the Swiss Dot and Victorian embossing folders. Now the card itself I cut on my Cricut machine from the Sentimentals cartridge which has some awesome card shapes and matching envelopes, I just love them. The cardstock and stamp pad are from SU of course hehe. The pearl brad in the centre of the flowers are from my cheap shop in town where you get 16 pearl brads for two dollars!!!! I bought 3 packs and I will go back for more lol it is a great bargain.

Okay I had better get back to my studying as I have an assignment due this Friday.

Sasya's Sketches #22

Hi everyone. I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday. It is now Sunday evening in my neck of the woods in Australia and I have had a lovely day crafting with my two daughters who came to visit without the grandbabies lol. This week over at Sasya's Sketches we were to follow the below sketch. . . .

So now you will find my interpretation of the above sketch. I used my brand new 8x8 paper pad from Making Memories for the Slice for the background paper and then I used Graphic 45 DSP. I used all SU cardstock, stamp pads and Butterfly stamp set as well as the leaf Sizzlit die. The flower I made myself using Prima E Line flowers.

Okay I hope you like what I have to show you today. Make sure you pop back tomorrow as I will have another card I made for another challenge.

FTL #101

Hello again. Today as promised here is another challenge card that Sherry and I did together. One of our favs is the Clean and Simple challenge so once again why not pop on over and do it with us. Below is the sketch we were to follow. . . .

Here is my interpretation of the above sketch. Once again I used Basic Grey Origins DSP and embellishment. I then used everything else Stampin' Up! The stamp set is a retired set but I still love it called All In The Stars.

I hope you enjoyed coming to my blog and taking a look at what I have made. Make sure to pop back regularly to see what I make next.

All Things Unity - Sketch It Up

Hi everyone. Sherry and I have been playing on Skype this morning and we chose two challenges to work on. Playing with Sherry is one of the highlights of my week and we have so much fun. Sherry found this new challenge which I also liked so we both did our interpretation of it. The challenge blog is called All Things Unity. Why don't you pop on over and join in the fun. Below is the sketch for this week.

ElisabethOSketchATU11

Here is my interpretation of the above sketch using of course Basic Grey Nook and Pantry paper collection and I used my fav butterfly stamp set and matching punch from Stampin' Up! as well as Real Rust and Chocolate Chip stamp pads and Short and Sweet stamp set for the sentiment cut with the word window punch. So other than the DSP the rest of the supplies used were from SU my fav company for everything matching and coordinating. If anyone would like to purchase anything from SU please let me know but only customers from Australia . . .sorry!

Okay girls that is it for me today I will hold over the other card we made until tomorrow hehehe.

CPS- Card Sketches #177

Hello everyone. Sorry to have been MIA lately I am such a bad blogger, just ask Sherry she will tell you lol. I thought I had better extract the digit and make some cards as this is why I started my blog. I chose CPS - Card Sketches this week as I quite liked the sketch as you can see below.

This is my interpretation of the above sketch using October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper collection which I just adore and Websters Pages lace trim. I used SU Kraft and Riding Hood Red cardstock as well as their Signo white gel pen and then I also used their bird punch which I also love. I stamped the image onto the bird using Riding Hood Red stamp pad and Old Olive to highlight the branch. Let me know what you think I would be happy to hear your opinions.

Okay that is all I have but I do have some other projects which I will share with you over the coming days.

Sasya's Sketches #19

Hi everyone. . . it has been a little while again but I have been working so hard at the library this past week or so because of school holidays that I have not felt much like crafting by the time I get home again each evening.
Over the weekend Sherry did this challenge from Sasya's Sketches and as I loved the layout I decided to take part as well. I really like it.

So, above is the sketch we are to follow of course lol. . . .

. . . .and this is my interpretation of the sketch. I used my brand new Invoke Arts Fleur de Lis stamp and inked it up with Rose Red SU ink. Cardstock in Kraft, Old Olive and Rose Red is also from SU. DSP is from My Minds Eye and is on the bottom half of the card and also one strip behind the image. The image is from the internet, ribbon from my stash and the mini rose is a Prima mini rose.
Okay I officially commence uni studies tomorrow so it will be a big day studying and getting into my first module *grins* and my daily reward will be to come into my craft room and that will only be if I complete all tasks I set for myself. That is all for me tonight.

Just Because. . . .

Hello again everyone. . . I have some rather exciting news that I want to share with you. I applied to university several weeks ago now to do a Bachelor in Information Services (Librarianship). I was accepted into university and I commence on the 12th July which is only next week. I will be studying externally part time as I am working in our town library as well and doing two subjects a semester for now to see how the study load will go. I will be trying to upkeep my blog as well and it should not be too hard as I still need to create for my own sanity lol and sometimes I love coming into my craftroom and just making a card just because which is what I have done tonight.

Cardstock and ink are Stampin' Up! and the stamp set is Fox and Friends from the Autumn mini also Stampin' Up! Ribbon, DSP and brads are from my stash. This is something different for me as I don't normally do cute but I love this stamp set.
Okay I am off to bed now as it has been a long afternoon teaching young children jewellery making in the library for holiday activities.

FTL #97

Well hello everyone. . .I bet you all thought I had fallen of the face of the earth lol. We moved house and it took our internet provider a month to get us reconnected even with me jumping up and down and complaining loud and long and threatening to take the matter to the telecommunications ombudsman did not work. I just had to wait it out and now here I am finally back on deck. If Sherry did not see a post from me soon she was going to disown me for sure. For my first challenge in a while I chose the Clean and Simple challenge which was nice and easy. I don't do clean and simple well because I always want to add a bit more and a bit more after that. It was very difficult to stop at what you see before you. All supplies are by Stampin' Up! except for the strip of green dsp which is from my stash.

Okay girls that is all from me for now but I will be back with more I can promise you that.
In the meantime. . . .
