This is for Sherry

Okay so Sherry wanted to see Kangaroos when my family went on a picnic which we do regularly. They are all around us at the local dam which is also a huge recreation area with BBQs and park areas. You can fish out there etc. You will see all manner of wildlife out there and as I said the Kangaroos are everywhere lazing in the sun hehehe, eating all the fresh grass shoots.

So there you go chick as requested. . . .Kangaroos!!!!!!

SSSC - #93

I promised that I would be back with another card and the challenge Sherry and I did this time was Karen Girons' Sweet Sunday Sketch. We had fun doing this one.

Once again I broke out the snowflake embossing folder hehehehe. The tree I cut out is from the DSP once again the collection is from last year when I was loathe to cut into my papers but now I just cut them including my favs Graphic 45 ROTFLOL.

The wrinkle ribbon was a gift from Sherry and she does such a wonderful job. She sent me a whole package of all different colours that she does herself. Pop over to her blog and check it out as she does sell it and you get a good deal too. Okay short and sweet for this one and now I have to do a post just for Sherry.

Technostamper #148

Well hello everyone!! I know I have been absent for a week or so but I have been so busy with working and having my grandbabies living with us for a while. I have to sneak time to come in and play in my craftroom lol and it ain't easy at time lol. Sherry and I were finally able to skype and craft the other day and we did a couple of challenges in between laughing and chatting. We both did the Technostamper challenge first as you can see by the sketch below. . . .

This is my interpretation of the above sketch. . . .

Even though I am a card maker I find it so hard to sit and make christmas cards for some unknown reason. I think it might go back to the late 80's early 90's when I made so many of them and in those days we hand coloured our images and I got so sick of it it put me off stamping for many years lol. I think that is probably why I have not got into the Copic epidemic that has hit you tube lately lol. I would love some to play with but they are very expensive so I will have to wait for those but in the meantime I am buying rubber stamps from TGF and Kraftin' Kimmie etc in readiness for when I get the Copic markers. The DSP I used on my card is from last year but I love it and the snowflake dies are Spellbinders which my friend Sherry sent me and this is the first time I have used them. . .I heart them so much hehehe. I even cracked my snowflake embossing folder for this one which has never been used. I told you I struggle with making christmas cards. Okay I will be back later with another card and then a pic just for Sherry.

And here is my interpretation of the above sketch. . .

I really love how it turned out. I also love the paper line I used and if you would like to know anything about the supplies I used for this card please don't hesitate to email me and and I will respond straight away.
Okay I am off to work on a mini album lol.

Sasya's Sketches #35

Hello everyone. Well since I have been absent from my blog for nearly two weeks and even though I have been skyping with Sherry and making cards with her etc and I have taken pics of them, none of them got uploaded to the blog. . . .shame on me hey? But today a parcel arrived from Sherry with some awesome goodies inside, things that I was not expecting at all so I was totally surprised. She is so good to me honestly and we have so much fun when we skype. It is her birthday next week on the 7th Nov so why don't you pop over to her blog then and give her some birthday love. I decided to use one of the embossing folders that she sent me which blew me away because I was only expecting the one Timster set not four sets for goodness sake!!! See how much she spoils me. She also sent me some of her awesome wrinkle seam binding which I am so in love with. So if you want the best wrinkle ribbon out there today then pop over to her blog and buy some because she won't have it very long, it goes like hotcakes!!

Below is the sketch we were to follow. Which is very simple and clean lol so I put this card together in ten minutes.
Okay folks that is it for about five minutes until I load the next challenge card hehehe.
So until next time. . . .

Sasya's Sketches - #33

I thought I would do Sasya's sketch again this week as I really enjoy them. I even broke out my Basic Grey stickers which I normally hoard lol and used the teapot. I used the matching paper line to go with the stickers, as well as the stamp set and some broderie lace from Websters Pages and one of my handmade flowers. I used SU Chocolate Chip cardstock which I just love and Early Exspresso ink pad which is fast becoming a favourite of mine.

Below is the sketch we were to follow. . . .

Okay everyone that is it for me I am being called to dinner lol. Until next time.

Well after a few days of having no internet due to problems with my router I am now back online. I am hoping that it is for good but will get my daughters partner to have a look at it tomorrow just in case. I did this challenge last night but could not load it up which is why I am late lol. I followed the sketch from Card Patterns this week and below is my finished Halloween card.

Below is the sketch we were to follow this week. . . .

Okay girls I need to get off to bed now as I have a full day of work in our library tomorrow.

Welcome to the World Ryan Max Grant

Well girls this was a special day today which is Monday the 18th October, 2010 because it is the day that my fourth grandbaby was born. We were up at the hospital for Ashleigh to be induced at 7am this morning as requested by her doctor. The doctor broke her waters but nothing came out until she stood about an hour later and Michael (her partner) and I made her laugh hehehehe. Then the floodgates opened. From that moment on there was no respite from the pain until Master Ryan Max grant was born at 10.50am this morning weighing in at a healthy 8lbs 15ozs, he measured 81cms in length which is 32 1/4 inches long with a head circumference of 38 cms which is 15 1/4 inches. He is a beautiful beautiful boy and we are all thrilled. So without further ado here is my fourth grandbaby. . . .

Okay Nannie is off to have a well earned nanna nap.

This could be baby news!!

Hi everyone. We have had false alarms and false alarms and now we are nearly two weeks overdue for our fourth grandbaby. I just got a phone call from Ash saying could they bring Soph over as the pains are pretty constant so things may be moving along. Fingers and toes crossed for us okay? I am off to the hospital as my girl wants her mum in the labour ward with her along with her partner Michael. She would love her sister with her too but her sister will be holding down the fort with Soph and her own two little ones.
If my little grandson Ryan chooses to arrive tonight I promise a pic tomorrow on my blog. For now I am off to the hospital for the serious part of the whole business lol.

Technostamper #142

I have another post so make sure you check out the post below this one to see what else I have made today. This card is for the Technostamper challenge blog. I enjoy these sketches as you can either make them clean and simple or more involved which is what I normally love to do. I won a Top 3 blinkie the other week playing along with these sketches. So why not pop on over and play along you just never know.

This is my card that fits the above sketch. I hope you enjoy it and if you would like to know the details please leave a comment.

Sasya's Sketchs #31

Well here we are again with another challenge. I am enjoying Sasya's sketches a whole lot. Sasya does exciting and challenging sketches which make you think before you plow right in to create your card.

My card this week is a Halloween card again lol and I used my Cricut and my October 31st cartridge to cut the cobweb and then brushed over it with Stampin' Up! Shimmer Paint in Frost White to give that spooky look to the web. I love how it turned out. I bought these cheap plastic spiders down at Spotlight and glued one of them onto the web. If you would like to know what the DSP is please leave a comment and I will get right back to you. I also turned the sketch on its side so I could use the image that I used.

Ooooh I just love Halloween ROTFLOL. I have another card to post later on.

Skipping Stones Designs

Hi everyone. Well it was a long weekend for us here in Australia and I spent the day creating my clinic room for my therapeutic massage business with my bestie Sonya. It looks fabulous and if Son had not nagged me to do it, it would still not be done ROTFLOL so many thanks Son, we did good. I went over to Karen Giron's blog today to see what the challenge was and Karen has been selected to be a guest designer for October on Skipping Stones Design blog using one of her own sketches this week. So I thought I would join in but they have not put the challenge up yet I jumped ahead of myself, but I did the card anyway so I will link up with them tomorrow perhaps. I used all Stampin' Up! supplies which included the brand new colour Early Expresso and can I say what a rich chocolate colour it is!!! It is so very yummy! I think I will be using it a whole lot over the coming months hehe. I also used Greenhouse Gala one of the new DSP collections from the new catalogue and of course my beautiful vintage brads which I cannot leave alone. I think I will be going through heaps of these in the coming year.

Okay, okay I'll get on with it hehe. Below is my card that I created. . . .

Below is the stamp set that I used with the stamp pads and the DSP collection.

Well until tomorrow when I will probably be back with another something to share with you. I hope you are all enjoying the extra daylight here in Australia.

Another challenge from Creations With Christina

This is the second challenge for Creations With Christina and it will be the last one for me as I am going to bed now lol. The challenge was to make your card predominately pink. I think I managed that hehehehe. All my supplies are SU except for the pink bling and the ribbon. The DSP is retired but I still love it.

Okay have fun with Christina today/tonight. I cannot keep my eyes open anymore.

Creations With Christina & World Cardmaking Day 2010

I did not want to go to bed tonight until I had taken part in Christina's World Cardmaking Day challenges which will be running every hour on the hour from 10am until 5pm US EST and for us here in Australia at the moment it is 12.33am on Sunday morning lol. I was dozing off prior to making this card while I was waiting for it to start and I thought one card then bed. But now I might wait for the next one lol and then perhaps go to bed.
The first card is a sketch which is below. . . .

This is my take on the above sketch. . . .

I have used all SU cardstock and Oval All stamp set and Soft Suede ink pad and Oval and Scallop Oval punches. The flower and DSP are other brands and if you would like that info please leave a message and I will get back to you.

Cute Card Thursday #131

Hi again everyone!! Two posts in one evening you will all be wondering what the heck is going on! I received a parcel in the mail today from my very good friend Sherry. I was like an excited schoolgirl opening it up. The card I have made tonight has put to good use some of the wonderful things from within that parcel. The stamp set it very vintage and to die for as well as the very current Halloween 6x6 paper pad and matching chipboard from Cosmo Cricket. I found this challenge over at Cute Card Thursday on the weekend so I decided to give it a go.

Here is my interpretation of the sketch above. I just love it. Gosh I love Halloween. Okay that is the last post from me tonight.

Waltzing Mouse challenge #16

Hi everyone. I hope you are all enjoying your Monday. For me here it is nearly 6.15pm at night in Australia and I am just about to have dinner but I thought I would get this card posted first before I went and ate. This is a new challenge by Waltzing Mouse, for me this week but I liked how it was set out so I decided to do it as Sherry and I were skyping again lol.

I used SU cardstock, scalloped oval punch and oval punch as well as Oval All stamp set which I just love and SU Basic Black stamp pad. If you would like to know what DSP paper I used then please don't hesitate to email me or leave me a comment and I will let you know the name of it. Okay I am off to dinner now.

Technostamper #140

Hi everyone. This is a challenge blog I have not seen before but Sherry assures me that it is a good one and after seeing the sketch I have to agree of course. So we made our cards while we skyped but I never seem to get my cards up on the day we make them for some unknown reason lol. This is the sketch over at Technostamper this week. . . .

. . . .and of course this is my take on the sketch. Once again I feel safe in saying the brands of all the products as we do not have access to all the Halloween goodness that Stampin Up! have to offer here in Australia like the demonstrators get in the US. So once again I used Basic Grey Eerie paper collection, Inkadinkadoo stamp set, Cuttlebug spiderweb embossing folder. All cardstock used is SU as is the little Boo stamp and tiny tag punch and string. I used Versamark and black embossing powder on the spiders and bat. The top note shape is a die from SU too. I hope you like my card because I just love it and anything Halloween in fact. So that is all for tonight gotta get to bed early for work tomorrow.

Sasya's Sketches #29

Hi there everyone. Well this is another day which brings with it another challenge of course. I decided to do Sasya's sketch again this week.

I chose white cardstock then used my SU Weathered background stamp for the small section underneath the circles on the sketch. I used Pumpkin Pie for that. Now in Australia SU do not sell any Halloween product at all whereas in the US they do and let me tell you it is the most amazing stamps, papers and embellishments. So because we don't have access to it here I feel quite easy stating the brand of the paper line and embellishments that I used as well as the stamp set. The paper is Basic Grey Eerie collection and I used SU 1 inch circle punch to punch the paper out, the chipboard is from My Mind's Eye from 2009. The ribbon is from my stash. I hope you like what I have created and please feel free to leave comments. Comments are always appreciated.

Just Because. . . .I felt better!!!

Okay so I felt a little better today and decided to make a card just because lol. I had no challenge to follow, nothing needed to be met creatively speaking. So I sat and looked at my supplies, coughing and wheezing lol and decided on what to make. I bought the stamp set on the weekend when I went down to Tamworth to Spotlight. If you would like to know the details of this card please feel free to leave a comment and I will email you the dets.

It is a lovely simple little card that brightened my day (I crack me up sometimes). I am working all day tomorrow at the library so no chance to get creative until tomorrow night if I have enough energy.

Card Patterns - #82

Hi everyone!!!! I know I have been absent for a bit. It is called studying and being sick. I got a terrible flu and lost my voice etc which scrubby just loved hehehe. I now have my voice back but it is very very scratchy, some people have called it sexy I just call it dirty old woman ROTFLOL. Okay enough frivolity it makes me cough too much. I was well enough to get into my craft room and create a card so I decided to do the Card Patterns challenge this week. Nice sketch to follow. . . .

This is my interpretation of the sketch. I would also like to add that all supplies are from Stampin Up! I am in total love with the new vintage designer paper packs for the new catalogue people. I am also in the middle of creating a paper bag mini album using this SU paper collection as well as the Newspaper paper collection which is another of my favs. I am almost finished so I will show all when it is complete. If you are interested in ordering any of the new SU lines please drop me a line on thegypsycart@gmail.com and we can get those supplies to you asap. Sorry this is only for people in Australia. I am sure that if you lived in the US or NZ that you can contact a SU Demonstrator near you. Also the new vintage stamp sets to go with the gorgeous paper lines are also out of this world and I have used them time and again already hehehe. So drop me an email if you would like to order supplies or would like to peruse a catalogue. I am off to bed now.
