Blog Giveaway from Injoy Stampin' with Robyn

Evening girls,

As most of you are aware I have become a you tube user and follower lately and one of my fav you yubers that I subscribe to is Robyn from InjoyStampin, which is her you tube name, if you would like to subscribe to her video channel. Robyn is the most caring and considerate woman I have had the pleasure of watching on you tube, very genuine and giving. You have to watch some of her videos girls because her mini albums are to die for they truly are and we both go in for the monthly mini swap over on the Scrapbeach and I would just kill to be her swap partner and receive one of her minis, it would be a real honour to be able to call one of her minis my own

This is just some of the booty you could win on her blog hehehe.

Anyway the point of my post is that Robyn is having a giveaway on her blog which you may want to join to have a chance to win this prize because it is lovely. Why don't you make the effort to pop over to her blog and follow her directions to be in with a chance. Also go over to Youtube and watch some of her videos you will not be disappointed at all. Good luck everyone.

Week 8 Challenge

This week over the challenge was to alter a recycled item or go green so too speak. I alter these tins all the time so I chose to do that this week as I sell so many of them. I love the brightess of these papers by Stampin' Up! and the flowers made with Stampin' Up! punches just complete the picture.

I hope this inspires you to go and find something that you would normally throw out and recycle and alter it. I would love to see what you make. That is all I have for you now.

Swap Sisters Week 6 Challenge

Hi everyone, this week over at Swap Sisters it was technique week and we all know what that means hey. . . . .it means I present the challenge for everyone and it is a technique that I choose. This week I chose the ghosting technique and I have to say that I just love it. I had forgotten how much fun it is to 'reveal' the image with the brayer lol. I chose SU Sense of Time stamp set which is no longer available but a real fav of mine so I keep using it lol.

I also used the Linen background stamp and an old in colour stamp pad colour which was River Rock. I hope you like what I have done. Okay that is it for me at the moment.

My First ATC

Hi everyone. Well today I did my first ATC and took part in my daughters meme on her blog. She runs it every Wednesday so if you would like to join in then please visit her blog and find out more about the details. It is themed each week and this week is was about the ocean. So the first thing I thought was Mermaids. And I went from there to what you see below being the finished ATC.

I have called my mermaid 'The Dreamer' and used tulle, and Prima flowers and pearls and of course glitz, cannot forget the glitz when one is working with mermaids lol. I hope you enjoy my offering today. I will be back with more tomorrow.

Project Tuesday BirdHouse

Hello everyone. I am such a bad blogger lately I really am. This week over at Project Tuesday the challenge was to create this beautiful little bird house and there was a template provided.

This is the front on view of the birdhouse, doesn't look too bad I hear you say. . . . . .

This is the side view and where you can see that things are not quite right with this picture lol. She had started to pull the roof capping off and the front bottom from the side and I was extremely happy that I had not attached the perch, bird or the butterflies as they could have been dead on the floor.
The bird is from The Timsters set Flight Of Fancy. I am not sure what the paper is I had it in my stash. The stick is from a little conifer just outside my front door. Hope you like it.

Swap Sisters Week 5 Challenge

Hello everyone. How the hell are you all this glorious weekend? I got the most fabulous gift in the mail this week but I am going to save that for another post lol, hate to keep you in suspense but this gift deserves its own post. This week over at Swap Sisters the challenge was a colour challenge and you can see what those colours are below. Mel picked some beauties for sure lol.

This is my interpretation of the above colour challenge. I stamped the background in Pink Pirohuette using the French Script stamp. Then I used the Fifth Avenue rose and stamped it in Chocolate Chip over that then stamped it again onto another piece of Whisper White and cut it out to 3D it over the top but I added Dazzling Diamonds to the flower. I also stamped another piece above that to give the impression of several flowers . The flower embellishment we did in the chat room on the Friday night live with Sue Denning our fearless leader. I stamped the pink pieces with Chocolate Chip in French Script and the Chocolate Chip pieces in Versamark and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I used the Filagree brads for the centre of the flower. I think the double layered photo corner in the top right hand corner pulls it alltogether.

I would love to hear your opinion of this card so please leave a comment, it doesn't take very long to do lol. If you are interested in joining us over at Swap Sisters then please send me an email or leave a comment with this post with your email addy and I will send you an invitation to join Swap Sisters. There will be live tutorials and challenges on most nights in the chatroom which is the happening place to be, so why not come and join us I guarantee that the laughter and fun we have is second to none. Okay that is it from me for now and if you would like to purchase this card then just hit the Add to Cart button below this post to purchase it.

Project Tuesday Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone, It has been a very busy week for me this week with trying to get my mini albums finished and my tag swaps as well as being sick with a virus for a few days. All in all things are looking a lot better now near the end of the week thank goodness. This week over at Project Tuesday the challenge was to create a gift card holder. There were links to written instructions and a how to video my Jen McGuire over at the Hero Arts Blog. I chose to watch the Jen McGuire video and as a result of that below see my finished card.

This is the inside of my card and there was another pic with my credit card inserted into the gift holder section but it exposed all my credit card details and I was not comfortable with that so I left the pic out . . .sorry about that. I was going to add ribbon but I thought there was enough going on not to add that as well. Ok that is all for me tonight.

Swap Sisters Week 4 Challenge

I'm so sorry that my post is late this week for Swap Sisters I came down with some kind of virus and I have been sleeping virtually since Saturday. I was only well enough tonight to finally make my card for this weeks challenge over at Swap Sisters. The challenge this week was to use/incorporate something 3D from nature, together with a nature themed image. Scrubby had just trimmed all the small pine trees in the backyard so when I walked outside that was the first thing I spotted so that was it for me lol. Besides being far too sick at the time of getting my nature bit, I knew I could do something with it. The stamp set I used was a two step set which is now retired. The brads used are from Rich Regals and I also used Hemp Twine. Cardstock used was Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss and Whisper White. I used retired River Rock, Mellow Moss and Basic Black stamp pads. The button and ribbon are from my stash.

I hope you come along and play with us this week and for those of you who are not a member why not drop me an email and join you will be pleasantly surprised by what you find. The ning community is by invitation only. Okay for now that is all I have. Don't forget this card is for sale so if you wish to purchase it click on the Add to Cart button below.

Changes for The Gypsy Cart blog

Hello everyone. Well today I have made some decisions about where I am going and what I want to do and there will be some changes made to my blog to reflect those decisions. All good I can assure you. You see here is the gist of it. . . .I work from home and have done since my workplace bullying incident nearly two years ago, and now I need to let that go finally and move on which has been an issue for me and I guess it has stopped me from getting on with my life in some ways. But, and here is the thing, I am happy working from home it gives me a real freedom but I need to make it work for me and when I say work for me it needs to sustain my family and I and to pay the bills etc.

I will still take part in challenges but the card or whatever I make for the challenge will be immediately for sale on my blog. Some of the things I will have for sale are my journals, my vintage keepsake box and there will be more of those, some mini album kits, some embellishment packages, some handmade flower embellishments, vintage ephemera including sheet music from the beginning of the 1900's.

As some of you know I was recently chosen to be a design team member on Swap Sisters which is a ning community and is by invitation only. This community will be quite the place to be and there will be all sorts of wonderful things happening as we grow. Challenges, tutorials, how to get the most out of your camera, how to make your own whitebox for more professional looking pics, how to use distress inks, alcohol inks, how to use Copic markers, how to use Prisma coloured pencils and how to shade and blend effectively. There will also be regular swaps whereby each person swapping has to create a tutorial of their swap project to share with only the other members who swap and no one else will have access to them.

As a member of the design team Mel Davies and I were given a Cricut Expression which also included the SCAL software program, a deep cut blade and housing, extra mats, extra blades for both the regular and deep cut housing. This has blown us away and I really want to make this work for all of us. It was such a generous thing for Sue Denning to give us and in her words she wants her design team to have access to the very best of everything. We will also be getting the very latest in Distress Inks, Glimmer Mists, Copic Markers and Prisma pencils just to name a few things. Mel and I have been unable to sleep since we found out lol. Now I ask you what other design team offers such tools for their design girls? If you would like to become a member of the hottest place to be then drop me an email at thegypsycart@gmail.com and I will arrange an invitation. Bear in mind that the three of us are Stampin' Up! demonstrators and a lot of the projects will be inspired by SU products and the products used will mainly be SU for us but that is not to say that there won't be other products to play with lol. I mean it is all about the creativity and learning and sharing with other like-minded people. So make a start and contact me, you will not be sorry. Okay I think that is all for now but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me and I will promptly answer your query. I am so excited by these changes and I hope you will be able to share in that excitement and join me on a new journey.

Project Tuesday CD/DVD Case

Well tonight I decided to do Project Tuesday challenge and this week we are to do a CD/DVD Case which was a link from Splitcoast Stampers where there is heaps of great tutorials and ideas. I chose SU Kraft cardstock for my case and used hemp twine as my ribbon the other supplies and embellishments cannot be listed due to them being non SU products but if you would like to know what products I used to complete this project please don't hesitate to leave me a comment and I will email you with the details. This first pic is the front of the CD/DVD Case and the tag used is part of the paper collection I used and the little heart charm was from my stash.

This is the other side of the project where the CD/DVD pocket is. I think this project is a fabulous idea for a gift for someone and I will be making plenty more as it was extremely easy to create.

Okay that is it for me this evening and as it is 1.17am in the morning here in NSW Australia I am heading to bed.

Swap Sisters Week 2 Layout

Hello everyone. Well I am the slackest blogger lately aren't I?? You don't have to answer that one because I know I am. I have had a lot happening in my life lately with family etc and it has been a very long two weeks. Needless to say this is the first opportunity I have had to do a post and put effort into it. I have had little snatches of time but the quality would not have been put into the blog so I left it neglected. . . .truly sorry for that one.

This is the second week for the Swap Sisters and as you can see it was a layout for this week. It could be a card, a 12 x 12 page, 8 x 8 layout or a 6 x 6 layout the choice was ours to make. I of course chose to make a card and below the sketch is my interpretation of the sketch.

As you can see the layout is full of hearts lol and I have chosen not to do the traditional red and white for Valentines but rather Kraft, Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla and of course inspired by the Bella Bleu designer paper. All supplies are SU except for the large heart which was a wooden heart from my supplies that I traced onto the cardstock and the smaller hearts also from my supplies as I do not have the heart punches from SU. I have used Cheep Talk, Basic Phrases and Baroque Motifs stamp sets, Not Quite Navy ink pad, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 circle punches, scallop border punch, flower brads and Kraft ribbon. Not quite sure if I like this creation or not, so let me know what you think. Please leave a comment as I would like to know your opinion and I seem to have loads of traffic through my blog but not many stop and leave a comment. Anyway that is it for tonight.

Swap Sisters very first challenge

This is the very first challenge as a Design Team Member of Swap Sisters which is a new community on ning and mainly using SU products. There will be card sketch challenges, 3D off the page challenges, as well as technique challenges and also swaps, just to name a few. There will sometimes be prizes but most of all it will be fun. So I hope some of you will join us.

The colours we had to use in making our card are listed above. Yep I was doing okay until Bravo Burgundy came into play and then I thought man what do I do now lol. So my interpretation of the above colour challenge is below. . . .

All products used in the making of this card are SU and of course I used my all time fav stamp from Friends 24-7 and that is the damask stamp. . . love it!!! Okay that is it for now.

RAK From 66msclaudia

Hello there everyone, not much happening that I can show here as I am just finishing up my mini album swap and I cannot show you that until my swap partner receives it lol. But last Friday I received from a lovely woman in the US named Claudia, some beautiful and I mean beautiful K&C Que Sera Sera paper stacks and embellishments. I did do my first youtube video on it and if you would like to see me make a fool of myself feel free. . .my you tube channel is bohemiangypsy99.

The paper line is stunning and I am going to covet for some time to come before I use it lol. I didn't think to put it up here on my blog after doing the video but I should have sung it from the rooftops, well I was here, so I'm sorry for not sharing with you all and will try and be a better blogger next time hehehe.

I cannot thank Claudia enough for her generosity in sending me this beautiful gift, but thankyou so much Claudia. Not sure if she will see my blog but that doesn't matter, I just wanted my followers to know what a wonderful act of kindness I received. Okay that is all tonight sorry.

Mini Swap tag pics

Well for all you Aussies out there today Happy Australia Day!!!! Today is a day where we celebrate Australia and everything that entails, for a lot of people here it means getting together with family and friends and having the good old Aussie BBQ in the backyard or inside watching the cricket lol and for some it is the day that the Australia Day medals are given out and I missed the awards last night to see who got Australian of the Year. I am so sorry I have not blogged for a couple of days but over the weekend my friends healing centre where I worked doing massage one day a week, burnt down. Now I don't mean just her centre but the whole block with flats upstairs above the shops. The building is over 100 years old and it was a sad thing to witness. I had just moved all my stuff back home on the Thursday as I had decided to just work from home only doing my massage so I did not lose much only a few hundred dollars worth of stock I had in her shop but my friend lost everything all her years of work gone in half an hour it took for the fire to rage through. I have spent some time with my friend and then helping her to write a list of things she had to do immediately once she had mourned the loss of her business. Therefore my blog took a back seat for a few days.
Also I have not done a card challenge or anything as I have been getting my swap partners mini album completed. I am hoping she does not visit my blog until she receives her mini from me. So what I have to show you are some of the tags from inside the mini.

The tag on the far right of the above pic with the word Artists on it is a top note that has on the other side a metal embossed and alcohol inked top note to match but I cut it out of a Pepsi Max can which my scrubby had flattened out for me. It worked a treat and I will be doing some more down the track. Needless to say that it is recycling at it's best lol.

On the left here with the words The Story on it is a vellum envelope with a tri-fold inside for photos and journalling. The flower to the right of that has been alcohol inked with several colours and then the alcohol solution dropped in various places to give that mottled look. . . I love how this turned out. Doing minis is all about the different techniques lol and I just love them for that reason as it stretches your creativity. Okay that is all from me tonight.

SASC - Project Tuesday - Mini Pizza Box

Okay ladies this week over at Stamps and Smiles - Project Tuesday the challenge was to create a mini pizza box and they had a link to the tutorial of how to make it. I just loved it and the perfect little box for Valentine's Day in my opinion. So I chose my brand new paper line from one of the major paper companies and if you would like the details please email me. I used the Spellbinders Labels 1, the ribbon is from my friend Sherry which was part of my christmas parcel from her. The sentiment is from my ancient stash from 18 years ago which I think is a Hero Arts stamp. The cardstock and stamp pads are from Stampin' Up! I coloured the hearts in the sentiment with some Kindy Glitz - Crystalline. All in all I am happy with how this little box turned out.

This is a side view of the box so show the two layers of the butterfly punch that I used.

Okay I am off to finish up my swap mini and I was just waiting to get my SU order which came yesterday so I can finish it up.

Card Patterns - #47

Here I am back again so soon after the last entry today lol. I actually had them both made I just had to post them is all lol. The sketch below is the one we had to follow this week over at Card Patterns.

and here is my interpretation of the above sketch. I used a brand new paper line for this card and if you would like to know the details please email me. I thought I would do a Valentine's Day card this time as I have to get some made for the markets along with a Valentine's Day inspired Soy Melt and some romance type aromatherapy products to package up and sell as well. If anyone is interested in one of these Romance packages then drop me an email I do custom orders as well.

Okay for today that is it for me. I have a couple of orders to get out before the end of the week.

Sketches {By Tamara} - #103

Okay here we are at another day and I have chosen to do the challenge being offered over at Sketches! {By Tamara}. It was a nice sketch as you can see below. . . .
This is my interpretation of the above sketch and I just love the vintage look of it. Everything is SU except for the ribbon and DSP. The stamp set used is a retired set that I purchased on EBay and I just love it.

Okay I have another card to post for Card Patterns so I will be back shortly.

Finished Keepsake/Recipe Box

I know it has been a few weeks since I showed you this keepsake box but things have been kind of hectic to say the least, so I only got around to completing it tonight. I have some tea dyed crocheted lace across the front from my stash with a SU Hodgepodge Aged Copper (no longer available) ribbon slide in the middle. I also used this lovely beaded length across the bottom of the lid which I just adore as I think it lends itself the vintage look of the box. I Glimmer Misted the white roses with Suede and added the strand pearls behind it tied in a bow. You could use this for a recipe card box but I think it is far too lovely to sit in the kitchen so I am going to keep it as a sample for my vintage classes and use it for photos.

Okay that is it for me tonight and it is getting kind of late. But I will be back tomorrow with more.
