FTL #88

It is another week over at Clean and Simple blog and that means another challenge. . . of course! Below is the sketch to follow and as usual it is very clean and simple but this week I really struggled with it as I kept wanting to add more but Sherry kept saying it is meant to be clean and simple so she was acting like my live conscious lol.

This is my interpretation of the above sketch. This is also my second attempt as I ditched the first card, I was just not liking it very much and I am sure we all have those cards don't we girls? I ended up with the card below and I am more than happy with leaving it CLEAN & SIMPLE lol.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my card today and that you will pop back again as I am back into the swing of cardmaking again but I have not forgotten mini albums not for a second lol. I just missed making cards and the quickness of it is all. Please if you make the effort to visit my blog I hope you leave a comment so that I know you have been to visit.

Hi everyone. It is time for another Clean and Simple challenge and I so love these challenges as they are simple but elegant and so easy on the eye once you are done. The sketch to follow is below. . . .

This is my interpretation of the above sketch. I made the flowers by stacking plain white flowers of different shapes and sizes, I sprayed them with Glimmer Mist and put the rose bud from my stash in the middle. I then sprinkled Diamond Dust over the top. I used SU Whisper White cardstock, Perfect Plum stamp pad and Baroque Motifs stamp set.

I am just cruising the net looking for other challenges to do as I am in the mood to make another one or two if I can find the right one.

FTL#86

Hi everyone. As promised here I am again and it is only the very next day. I have been sitting here talking to Sherry on Skype and she has been going through her stash to get ready for a garage sale and I have been making this card for the Clean&Simple challenge blog. It took me this long to make the card because we were chatting and laughing away. I have the best time chatting to Sherry, she is a really good friend and I value her friendship. Below is the sketch we were to follow. . . .

And this is my take on the above sketch. . . .

I have used SU Soft Suede one of our new in colours, Kraft cardstock (my fav), I have also used Old Olive stamp pad and Basic Phrases stamp set. The other stuff is from my stash. I might do another one later today but first I have two one hour massages to do early afternoon.

FTL #74

I have chosen a few card challenges to do today as I have not made any for a while. This is the first one that I chose. I always love doing this challenge. So clean and simple just like the name of the blog states lol. The challenge was to follow the sketch below.

This is my interpretation of the above sketch. I had to make a few little adjustments to the card because I sell my cards and I just wanted a bit more on it is all but basically it follows the above sketch.

I will be back with more later on in the day.

The sketch over at Clean and Simple is set out below and I really love the clean lines of this challenge blog but the finished project always looks fabulous in my opinion lol.

This is my take on the above sketch. I bought these little price tags from my local newsagent the other day thinking I would like to have a play with them. They have white cotton to tie around the item for sale so I used distress inks to colour the tag and wound the cotton around the flower from behind it so it just hangs there. I like how it looks on the card.

I used the background designer paper in really thin strips to use as "thread" in the button and I love how it turned out. Also on the scalloped edges I used a really small holed punch to punch between the scallops and if you click on the card you will be able to see it better. Ok that is all from me today.
