My New Bot Stamp Set

Hello again everyone. I decided to have a play with my newest stamp set from SU and it is all about the 'bots', Robots that is. Now I am so not a bot person but this stamp set took my eye from the very first time I saw it in the mini catalogue and I knew I was going to be buying it. With the robots making a splash in the crafting world I have wanted so many different robot products lol, and it is so not me. I am a vintage girl through and through not a 'bot' girl. However this set is way cute don't you agree?

I used all Stampin' Up! products to make this card which is a change for me lately. I hope you enjoy what I have done here. I had time after packing all day up until about 3pm to get in here to make another card and work on some other projects. That is it for tonight ladies and quite possibly gents.

A Vintage Card

Hi everyone. I have been so busy packing and working that I have not had time to make a card or anything of value to put up on my blog. . . .sorry! Tonight after working all day I decided as a way to wind down, was to come into my craft room and make something just for the hell of it. I am always loathe to use my vintage paper collection as I love to just get it out and look at it. This time however I got it out and cut into it lol. Not only did I cut into it I used one of the die cut tags from the collection hehehe. So I am getting brave. The flower is a Prima knock off that I made and I just love how they turn out. The lace on the card I tinted with Vintage Photo as it looked too new hehe. The stamp set is one of the new ones from SU - Vintage Vogue and is one of my favs.

I hope you like what I have created here and I hope to make at least one more card before I pack up my craft room this week to move.

Project Tuesday - Card with Matching Bookmark

This week over at Project Tuesday the challenge is to create a card that has a matching bookmark. I had to jump right into this one as I got new papers and embellishments today as well as a new stamp set so I just had to create a card using them and I am totally in love with all of it lol.

This is the bookmark and I have perforated the folded edge so as to be able to remove the bookmark for use. I really think this is a great little gift idea for someone who loves to read and I know a few of those now that I work in the town library as a casual hehehe. So I guess birthdays this year will be taken care of for the staff there. I used SU Kraft and Very Vanilla cardstock, and Choc Chip stamp pad.

Okay girls that is all for me tonight. The weather here is starting to turn so cold. . . Brrrr!!

A few things I have been making!

Hello everyone. I have been busy packing lately and have not had much time for creating. But did manage a few times to sneak away into my craft room to make these little beauties below. They are made using white flowers and they have been glimmer misted, twisted and have had rose buds added to the centres and then diamond dusted to finish off. I absolutely love them and this is about my third bunch of them lol. . . .me thinks there is another addiction coming!!!

The next pic shows the flowers I have created for a swap I am in where we had to make 9 flowers. I made three of each of the colours below using DSP from my stash. They have all be diamond dusted to finish off and once again I just love them.

This third pic shows a card I made just because. . . .

Not sure if I like it or not but there you have it in all its glory girls. Okay I am off to bed.

FTL #89

Well here we are again girls lol. I went to bed fairly early but could not sleep so I thought well put yourself to good use woman so I made a card for the Clean And Simple challenge blog. I love doing these challenges although I am normally a detailed in depth kind of cardmaker making these cards does me good as well because it is hard not to add more therefore keeping it clean and simple hehehe. The sketch we were to follow this week is below here. . . .

This is my interpretation of the above sketch. . . .

I like it. All products used are Stampin' Up! except for the flowers and designer paper which are from my stash. If you would like to know those details please leave a comment or drop me an email. If you visit my blog to look at my card please leave a comment so I know you have been.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #67

Here is another day and another challenge girls. I thought I might do the Sweet Sunday Sketch today as I really loved what Sherry had created so I decided to make a card for this challenge. It is lovely creating cards again but I have so many and I need to sell some to make way for new cards lol. Below is the sketch we were to follow for this weeks sketch. . . .

And once again this is my interpretation of the above sketch. . . .

I bought these loopy brads today while I was downtown and what better way to use them hey? The cardstock, stamp pads and sentiment are all Stampin' Up! and the rest is from my stash. If you would like to know all the details please email me or leave a comment and I will let you know. That is all from me tonight.

Taylored Expressions #111

I chose to do the Taylored Expressions challenge today and I had some fun making my card for this one. Sherry and I were skyping and making cards and I have to say we have a lot of fun doing it. My little 22 month old grandaughter loves it when Shezzie is online and thinks she is top notch when she sits on Nanna's lap to chat to her lol. I am truly blessed to have Sherry in my life. . . .thankyou Sherry for your friendship it means the world to me. Below is the sketch we had to follow this week. . . .

This is my interpretation of the above sketch. I cut the card and matching envelope from my brand new Cricut cartridge Sentimentals. It is such a fabulous cartridge and when you are looking at them at online stores you don't see all that is available and believe me there is such a lot available on the cartridge. I was having a wonderful time last night playing with it and then I also got Home Decor Solutions cartridge which I haven't played with yet but I will be very soon lol.

This next card below is for my bestie Sonya which she ordered for her Mum for Mothers Day this Sunday. Sonya gets all her cards from me and there are plenty in her family. She used to pay me but I insisted and I mean I insisted she tried to fight me on it lol but I insisted because she does so much for my family and particularly for my girls who love her like a second Mum. Sonya does pay me in love and friendship which are priceless. I am very very blessed to have such wonderful women in my life. Cherish your friendships they keep you grounded girls.

I used mostly Stampin' Up! products on this card. Sonya chose this one after seeing my purple one on my blog which I did for a 365 Card challenge two weeks ago thereabouts. Okay girls that is all you are going to get out of me for now lol.

Basic Grey Challenge Wk #19

Hello everyone. I have been toying with the Basic Grey challenge all day today wondering if I would do it or not and then at 11pm decided that yep I was going to participate this week. The pic below was the inspiration for this weeks challenge. . . .

kids-room[1]

And this is my interpretation of the above inspiration. I purchased this digi image yesterday from BugalooStamps.com and I just think she is so very cute. I was inspired by the bunting or the flags in the top of the pic. I always choose my papers and cardstock first and put them all together etc and get the main part of the card glued and then I do the image and it is not often that I colour an image in as I choose not to do that much anymore. I used to colour all my images in about 15 years or more ago lol but now I will leave that to others who do it so much better than I can. I hand wrote the sentiment and used SU ink pads and my aqua pen to colour the image.

Okay it is nearly 1am and my eyes are saying close me or I will close them for you, so it is time for some shut eye. If you take the time to visit please leave a comment so that I know you have been to visit.

FTL #88

It is another week over at Clean and Simple blog and that means another challenge. . . of course! Below is the sketch to follow and as usual it is very clean and simple but this week I really struggled with it as I kept wanting to add more but Sherry kept saying it is meant to be clean and simple so she was acting like my live conscious lol.

This is my interpretation of the above sketch. This is also my second attempt as I ditched the first card, I was just not liking it very much and I am sure we all have those cards don't we girls? I ended up with the card below and I am more than happy with leaving it CLEAN & SIMPLE lol.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my card today and that you will pop back again as I am back into the swing of cardmaking again but I have not forgotten mini albums not for a second lol. I just missed making cards and the quickness of it is all. Please if you make the effort to visit my blog I hope you leave a comment so that I know you have been to visit.

Card Positioning Systems - #164

Here I am with another challenge and another card lol. Over at Card Positioning Systems this week I liked the look of the sketch and I have not done one of theirs for a while so I thought it was high time I did. The sketch to follow is below. . . .

My take on the above sketch is listed below here. I have used mainly Stampin' Up! supplies for this card using the new In Colour - Rich Razzleberry and new stamp set Vintage Vogue which I just adore. I also used the new DSP Cottage Wall which is lovely and rich using the new in colour as well. The ribbon is Old Olive grosgrain.

I hope you enjoyed popping in to see what I have made and please leave a comment so I know I am not making cards in vain lol. Okay that is all from me today.

Card Patterns - #61

Well it is another day and another challenge girls. Today I thought I would do the Card Patterns challenge once again as it was nice and clean but you could work within that and create something lovely as seen on the Card Patterns blog by the design team. The sketch we were to follow is below. . . .

Once again this is my interpretation of the above sketch. . . .

I made the flower using white flowers and glimmer mist and I glued a rose bud in the centre. I then used Diamond Dust to sprinkle over the flower. I used SU Whisper White cardstock, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive stamp pads and the Eyelet Border punch. I also used SU Vintage Labels stamp set which were part of the Sale-a-bration promotion this year. I just love the stamp set. The ribbon is from my stash. Okay that is it from me for the moment.

365 Cards - #54 - Fancy Folds

It has been quite a while since I did a challenge over at 365 Cards. I chose to do the challenge today because a friend of mine, said you don't make cards anymore, what happened to all your beautiful cards? I have been making so many mini albums and 3D projects that I did not have time for cards so today is the day that I decided to participate in a challenge again and because I used to do 365 Cards all the time I thought what better challenge to do that Pam's challenge. It was a Joy Fold card that we were to make today and if you want to check out the measurements zip on over to 365 Cards and join in.

FTL #87

Hi everyone. It is time for another Clean and Simple challenge and I so love these challenges as they are simple but elegant and so easy on the eye once you are done. The sketch to follow is below. . . .

This is my interpretation of the above sketch. I made the flowers by stacking plain white flowers of different shapes and sizes, I sprayed them with Glimmer Mist and put the rose bud from my stash in the middle. I then sprinkled Diamond Dust over the top. I used SU Whisper White cardstock, Perfect Plum stamp pad and Baroque Motifs stamp set.

I am just cruising the net looking for other challenges to do as I am in the mood to make another one or two if I can find the right one.

FTL#86

Hi everyone. As promised here I am again and it is only the very next day. I have been sitting here talking to Sherry on Skype and she has been going through her stash to get ready for a garage sale and I have been making this card for the Clean&Simple challenge blog. It took me this long to make the card because we were chatting and laughing away. I have the best time chatting to Sherry, she is a really good friend and I value her friendship. Below is the sketch we were to follow. . . .

And this is my take on the above sketch. . . .

I have used SU Soft Suede one of our new in colours, Kraft cardstock (my fav), I have also used Old Olive stamp pad and Basic Phrases stamp set. The other stuff is from my stash. I might do another one later today but first I have two one hour massages to do early afternoon.

So enjoy the pics.

I hope you enjoyed the pics and stay tuned for further pages as I complete them. If you want to know anything or want me to do a tutorial on any of the techniques you see here drop me an email and I will see what I can do for you.

A Vintage Tag

Hi everyone. Today I was chatting to my good friend Sherry on Skype for about 3 hours lol and we chat and craft because she is in the US and I am here in Australia so this is the cheapest way for us to chat, and chat we do. Sherry showed me how to do these rose bud flowers and before we finished our call I said I will have something made and up on my blog before you get up in the morning, it was a challenge to myself. So here it is 11.36pm at night and I have been fussing around with it for quite a while now trying to get everything just right. Sorry about the images girls but I am tired and I thought it looked better on camera but obviously not hehehe but I am not taking the pics again. Anyway on with the tag. . . . the tag itself is a size 8 shipping tag that I embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder (Victoria), then Glimmer Misted in Vintage Pink, Key Lime Pie and Suede. I used my new SU Sizzlit leaf die, then I made that lovely pink flower on the right using Prima Hydrangeas in white and glimmer misted them in the vintage pink with a small spray in Key Lime Pie, I then gave them the treatment from a video I watched the other day that Jade from Jadedstudios put out and I just love the outcome. I sprinkled Diamond Dust over the flowers once finished. The rose bud is made from SU Pink Pirouette cardstock. The fibres are from my stash as are the charms. The vintage pic is from a gorgeous woman on you tube Rosanne - roxycar11. The lace and pearls are from my local fabric shop.

So there you have it girls my vintage tag. Sherry I met my challenge lol and had fun doing it. That is it for me tonight as I have to get up early and make cupcakes and vol eu vants for my daughters birthday tea party that she is having tomorrow for her friends who are driving up from Armidale and surrounding areas. Should be a great tea party.

Week 8 Challenge

Happy Easter everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying your Easter break I know we are here in North West NSW Australia. We are half way through our Sunday and we have grandchildren who have had a little too much Easter Egg chocolate today hehehehe. . . .so glad we are the grandparents and not the parents of little ones anymore ROTFLOL.

Well girls it is another week which brings another challenge. This fortnight the colour scheme for us to work with and they are Stampin' Up! colours of course and they entice us to think about Spring and Summer and for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere as we work our way through Autumn and then through Winter we will look forward to Spring and Summer after that. For now it seems a long way away. I for one am so happy that the colder months are headed our way lol. I hope you join Courtney and myself in participating in this fortnights challenge. Colour challenges can be quite challenging within themselves especially when we see what colour scheme we have to create something with. A humdinger was chosen this fortnight. But once I sat down and put my sunglasses on I was able to create something worthwhile and very summery in my opinion lol.

This is my interpretation of the colour challenge I hope you enjoy it.

Blog Giveaway from Injoy Stampin' with Robyn

Evening girls,

As most of you are aware I have become a you tube user and follower lately and one of my fav you yubers that I subscribe to is Robyn from InjoyStampin, which is her you tube name, if you would like to subscribe to her video channel. Robyn is the most caring and considerate woman I have had the pleasure of watching on you tube, very genuine and giving. You have to watch some of her videos girls because her mini albums are to die for they truly are and we both go in for the monthly mini swap over on the Scrapbeach and I would just kill to be her swap partner and receive one of her minis, it would be a real honour to be able to call one of her minis my own

This is just some of the booty you could win on her blog hehehe.

Anyway the point of my post is that Robyn is having a giveaway on her blog which you may want to join to have a chance to win this prize because it is lovely. Why don't you make the effort to pop over to her blog and follow her directions to be in with a chance. Also go over to Youtube and watch some of her videos you will not be disappointed at all. Good luck everyone.
