Colour Throwdown - #59

I came across this challenge blog today Colour Throwdown and decided that I would give it a go and do the sketch. The colours to use are listed below and I would never have throught to put the Ruby Red with the other two but it works of course lol.
This is my take using the colours listed above. I hope you enjoy my card today and I hope to continue following this challenge.

365 Cards - #186 - Ad Inspired

Today's challenge over at 365 Cards is ad inspired and Kristie has chosen the pic below to inspire us today. I am not quite sure if it is silver on the shoes because I cannot get a close enough look but I went with the silver, white, black and red and used the colours to inspire me.

This is my take on the challenge today using my brand new stamp set from SU that my bestie Sonya bought for me lol thanks so much Sonya I very much appreciate it and could not wait to ink it up.
I used silver pigment ink with my random butterfly stamp by PSX on the black base card and then I used the SU Weathered background stamp on my black background for the main butterfly. I know it looks busy but I really like the way it has turned out. Tell me what you think please?

365 Cards - #139 - Try A Technique

Edited at 9.17pm 17.07.2009: I am such a loon sometimes!!! Honestly I thought Pam had said paper piecing! Not piercing lol!! It wasn't until I was checking out Sue's One4Joy blog that I realised my mistake. So I am gonna fly with this card now as I am too tired to have another crack at it tonight. My apologies Pam and the rest of the challengers and design team for making my error.

Today over at 365 Cards the challenge was to use Paper Piecing to create a pattern on your card. I had to make a birthday card for a 2 year old so the perfect stamp for her was chosen by her Aunt and I. This stamp is great for paper piecing the ears and heart. It is a stamp from my ancient stash and has not been used for about 15 years or so lol. This has to be short and sweet as my Mum comes tomorrow and I still need more hours today lol. It is going by too fast and before I know she will be here and I haven't done all the cleaning etc. . .bugger, bugger and bugger!!!! Phew I just this minute spoke to Mum on the phone and she is not arriving until 3.05pm tomorrow so I don't have to panic now lol.

This second shot is a close up of the heart paper piecing so excuse my hand because the ribbon would not stay out of the way lol and the only way I could make it do as it was told was to hold the jolly thing out of the road. Now that is it for tonight girls.

365 Cards - #117 Simply Stamped

Today over at 365 Cards the challenge is for one stamped image and one stamped sentiment - that's it!! You can colour in the image and use any of the coloured cardstock but no designer paper and no other embellishments. I thought that would be a snap to do and it was! I didn't even have to think about it but once I have loaded this little baby up I am adding stuff to it like crazy lol. I showed two images of my card to see if it got any different with the next pic. . . but it didn't lol. So here it is in all its simple glory!

365 Cards - #101 Fun With Food - Veggies

Finally, it's another day on 365 Cards and I know I have missed some days but I did have fun lol and I was making cards and journals etc while I was away.  Today over on 365 Cards the challenge was create a card with a veggie or two or three!!  I knew this was going to be an easy one for me because you all know I have an ancient stash from 17 years ago well in that stash there were these beautiful vegetable stamps from PSX and some from Hero Arts.  I have got a tomato, eggplant, corn, artichoke, radish, carrot and then there is the box of assorted veggies.  But my fav is the chilli or red pepper whichever you want to call it and of course the sentiment had to be "HOT STUFF" what else could it be hehehe.  Took me about 20 minutes to put this baby to bed lol.  The designer paper is of course my new stack of DCWV the recycled stack hehehe.  I finally bought some while I was away.  So I am going to bed as I am still getting over the drive and the restriction of having my knee in one spot for so long so I can't sit still for very long (thanks for your concern btw Rose).

So in the meantime. . . .
