Card Positioning Systems - #164

Here I am with another challenge and another card lol. Over at Card Positioning Systems this week I liked the look of the sketch and I have not done one of theirs for a while so I thought it was high time I did. The sketch to follow is below. . . .

My take on the above sketch is listed below here. I have used mainly Stampin' Up! supplies for this card using the new In Colour - Rich Razzleberry and new stamp set Vintage Vogue which I just adore. I also used the new DSP Cottage Wall which is lovely and rich using the new in colour as well. The ribbon is Old Olive grosgrain.

I hope you enjoyed popping in to see what I have made and please leave a comment so I know I am not making cards in vain lol. Okay that is all from me today.

Card Patterns - #61

Well it is another day and another challenge girls. Today I thought I would do the Card Patterns challenge once again as it was nice and clean but you could work within that and create something lovely as seen on the Card Patterns blog by the design team. The sketch we were to follow is below. . . .

Once again this is my interpretation of the above sketch. . . .

I made the flower using white flowers and glimmer mist and I glued a rose bud in the centre. I then used Diamond Dust to sprinkle over the flower. I used SU Whisper White cardstock, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive stamp pads and the Eyelet Border punch. I also used SU Vintage Labels stamp set which were part of the Sale-a-bration promotion this year. I just love the stamp set. The ribbon is from my stash. Okay that is it from me for the moment.

365 Cards - #54 - Fancy Folds

It has been quite a while since I did a challenge over at 365 Cards. I chose to do the challenge today because a friend of mine, said you don't make cards anymore, what happened to all your beautiful cards? I have been making so many mini albums and 3D projects that I did not have time for cards so today is the day that I decided to participate in a challenge again and because I used to do 365 Cards all the time I thought what better challenge to do that Pam's challenge. It was a Joy Fold card that we were to make today and if you want to check out the measurements zip on over to 365 Cards and join in.

FTL #87

Hi everyone. It is time for another Clean and Simple challenge and I so love these challenges as they are simple but elegant and so easy on the eye once you are done. The sketch to follow is below. . . .

This is my interpretation of the above sketch. I made the flowers by stacking plain white flowers of different shapes and sizes, I sprayed them with Glimmer Mist and put the rose bud from my stash in the middle. I then sprinkled Diamond Dust over the top. I used SU Whisper White cardstock, Perfect Plum stamp pad and Baroque Motifs stamp set.

I am just cruising the net looking for other challenges to do as I am in the mood to make another one or two if I can find the right one.

FTL#86

Hi everyone. As promised here I am again and it is only the very next day. I have been sitting here talking to Sherry on Skype and she has been going through her stash to get ready for a garage sale and I have been making this card for the Clean&Simple challenge blog. It took me this long to make the card because we were chatting and laughing away. I have the best time chatting to Sherry, she is a really good friend and I value her friendship. Below is the sketch we were to follow. . . .

And this is my take on the above sketch. . . .

I have used SU Soft Suede one of our new in colours, Kraft cardstock (my fav), I have also used Old Olive stamp pad and Basic Phrases stamp set. The other stuff is from my stash. I might do another one later today but first I have two one hour massages to do early afternoon.

So enjoy the pics.

I hope you enjoyed the pics and stay tuned for further pages as I complete them. If you want to know anything or want me to do a tutorial on any of the techniques you see here drop me an email and I will see what I can do for you.

A Vintage Tag

Hi everyone. Today I was chatting to my good friend Sherry on Skype for about 3 hours lol and we chat and craft because she is in the US and I am here in Australia so this is the cheapest way for us to chat, and chat we do. Sherry showed me how to do these rose bud flowers and before we finished our call I said I will have something made and up on my blog before you get up in the morning, it was a challenge to myself. So here it is 11.36pm at night and I have been fussing around with it for quite a while now trying to get everything just right. Sorry about the images girls but I am tired and I thought it looked better on camera but obviously not hehehe but I am not taking the pics again. Anyway on with the tag. . . . the tag itself is a size 8 shipping tag that I embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder (Victoria), then Glimmer Misted in Vintage Pink, Key Lime Pie and Suede. I used my new SU Sizzlit leaf die, then I made that lovely pink flower on the right using Prima Hydrangeas in white and glimmer misted them in the vintage pink with a small spray in Key Lime Pie, I then gave them the treatment from a video I watched the other day that Jade from Jadedstudios put out and I just love the outcome. I sprinkled Diamond Dust over the flowers once finished. The rose bud is made from SU Pink Pirouette cardstock. The fibres are from my stash as are the charms. The vintage pic is from a gorgeous woman on you tube Rosanne - roxycar11. The lace and pearls are from my local fabric shop.

So there you have it girls my vintage tag. Sherry I met my challenge lol and had fun doing it. That is it for me tonight as I have to get up early and make cupcakes and vol eu vants for my daughters birthday tea party that she is having tomorrow for her friends who are driving up from Armidale and surrounding areas. Should be a great tea party.

Week 8 Challenge

Happy Easter everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying your Easter break I know we are here in North West NSW Australia. We are half way through our Sunday and we have grandchildren who have had a little too much Easter Egg chocolate today hehehehe. . . .so glad we are the grandparents and not the parents of little ones anymore ROTFLOL.

Well girls it is another week which brings another challenge. This fortnight the colour scheme for us to work with and they are Stampin' Up! colours of course and they entice us to think about Spring and Summer and for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere as we work our way through Autumn and then through Winter we will look forward to Spring and Summer after that. For now it seems a long way away. I for one am so happy that the colder months are headed our way lol. I hope you join Courtney and myself in participating in this fortnights challenge. Colour challenges can be quite challenging within themselves especially when we see what colour scheme we have to create something with. A humdinger was chosen this fortnight. But once I sat down and put my sunglasses on I was able to create something worthwhile and very summery in my opinion lol.

This is my interpretation of the colour challenge I hope you enjoy it.
