365 Cards - #61

Hi Everyone.  The challenge over at 365 Cards was to include a leaf somewhere on your card.  In all the stamp sets I ordered the other day from Stampin' Up! I chose a level two hostess gift  which was Autumn Flair which happened to have leaves in it, it's a two step stamp set.  The lace on my card was tea dyed by myself and I was so happy with the result.  I dyed several metres of it so I would have enough for a while lol.  The green background layer of card was hand coloured by me to create a marbled effect and edged in bronze ink.  The brad in the middle of the flower is a button that I purchased yesterday down at the fabric store in town.  So without further ado here is my entry for today. . .

That's it for now until tomorrow but in the meantime. . .

Creative Space Thursday

Hi everyone,  well it is that time of the week once again!!  I can't believe that a whole week has gone by and here we are again at Thursday lol.  My space this week is filled with my new order of Stampin' Up! supplies straight out of the new 2009-2010 catalogue which has been out since the 1st April.  There is so much goodness in this new catalogue that I love more so than last years catty.  It was a difficult decision to make in relation to what stamp sets did I need to have the most hehehe (all of them!!).  I got the order two days ago and could not wait to play with my new supplies if you check out my blog here you will see where I have used some of my new supplies in some card challenges.  I think I am in love with Pink Pirouette!! I can't seem to leave it alone!
Anyway here is my space for this week please enjoy. . .

Some of the new brads and buttons.

6 of the new designer papers for the next year.  Look at the second one (pink) it's paisley. . . I love it soooo much and have already made a card from it.

The new in-colours for the next year.  Each year there are six new in-colours and they are only for that year.  They come in the stamp pads, cardstock and some of the designer papers have various colours from the in-colour selection, ribbons.  This is what I love about Stampin' Up! everything coordinates perfectly!!

Look at all that loveliness for stamp sets!!  That bird to the left rear of the pic is a fav of mine and if you check my blog in general you will see the card I made using it. . . I love it!!

More of the stamp sets with the in-colour cardstock colours.
If you would like to check out other creative spaces please pop on over to Kootoyoo's blog.
Well that's it for this week so until next week . . .

365 Cards - #60

Another day another card lol I might make a song outta this.  Today the challenge over at 365 Cards was to use the sentiment 'WHAT' on the card either inside or outside.  Hardly a challenge I hear you say?  Think again I did not have one sentiment or rub on with the word what in it at all in my whole stash and I was running out of time as tomorrow I will be in Armidale all day at my small business management course, so I needed to get it done before I went to bed tonight.  Here it is 11.18pm and I finally finished.  Geez I have grey hair but I think I sprouted a few dozen more hehehe.  I finally used my Hero Arts dot alphabet to write the question 'What you love me?' and the rest just fell into place as the saying goes.  So here is my card for today. Let me know what you think.

Okay that's me done for another day girls.  How did you all go with the challenge?
But in the meantime. . .

365 Cards - #59

Well for me it is Tuesday evening and I think it may be Monday evening late in USA me thinks anyway lol.  I received my Stampin' Up! order yesterday with all my new stuff from the new catalogue and I think I am in love with Pink Pirouette and all 9 (nine) stamp sets hehehe.  I have made two cards today one for here and one for Mojo Monday and both had Pink Pirouette. . . can't help it lol.
Anyway enough banter the challenge today was to use the sentiment 'I Miss You' and for the card to portray what that meant ie. miss you as a friend or a lover or a child or family member who knows we can miss anyone who is important in our lives.  Well I made my card today based on love between lovers.  I hope you like it cause I absolutely love it hehehe. . .

Sorry about the shadow in the pic but the light is behind me and no matter which way I move it is in a different spot but still in the pic!  I really loved doing this card and it gave me the chance to use all my new stuff.  You see we are behind USA with our catalogue which they have all had the use of for a while now but we have only had it out since 1st of this month, hence my excitement.  Well that about does it for me but in the meantime. . .

365 Cards - # 58

It's another day and another card lol.  Today's challenge had to include a fish and I went into panic mode hehehe but redeemed myself when I realised that I had a fish stamp in my stash of oldies but goodies.  I used to do a lot of male type cards for people about 15 years ago so have a lot of male orientated stamps from then.  Here is my card for #58. . .

It's a very plain card and I didn't put a sentiment on it as I will wait until I see what to use it for.  So that's it for another day.

365 Cards - #57

Hi Everyone,  well it is Sunday evening here in New South Wales Australia and we all know what that means, that's right another challenge day lol.  Todays challenge was a delight to complete and I had all the ingredients so I finished it in a reasonable amount of time.  I couldn't do yesterdays card as it was to be done with acrylic or acetate neither of which I had but as I said to Fi I wasn't slack I did do a lovely watercolour for my bestie for her mum for Mothers Day so in effect I did do a card.  You can have a quick look here if you like.  There are also some lovely pics of our Australian wildlife there which I took whilst out on a picnic.  Anyway without further ado here is my card for #57

I enjoyed doing this card and it took no time to complete.  Well as it is 11.36pm on Sunday evening I think I will hit the bed.  Goodnight all and I will catch you on the flip side.

How I Spent Anzac Day

Hi everyone,  Yesterday was Anzac Day for those of us in Australia and New Zealand which is a day that we remember all the fallen soldiers that gave their lives for us to live the lives we choose in earlier wars and conflicts.  Being an ex soldier myself I like to spend this day quietly.  With my family and my bestie and her husband we went out to the dam for a barbeque lunch and it was lovely, peaceful and quiet.  I took some crafting out with me as my bestie had asked me to make her a Mothers Day card for her mum.  The request was for something to do with gardening so I think I mastered it.  Let me know what you think.  I have had the stamp for over 15 years and I have always loved it and as Sonya's mum is an avid gardener this did the job well.  I chose to watercolour it on watercolour paper using Derwent watercolour pencils.

The next four pics are of some beautiful Australian Kangaroos enjoying their own meal out at the dam.  This is what I love about Australia. . . wildlife everywhere in the country.  Kangaroos are a favourite of mine always have been always will be. . . so please enjoy!!

They were enjoying their meal on the grass outside the water park area at the dam with not a person in sight lol.  Well I hope I can join in the challenge over at 365 Cards tomorrow.  I missed not being able to do something for it today but I wasn't slack either just did something else.
So that's it for me today everyone but in the meantime. . .

365 Cards - #55

Hi  everyone,  when I saw the challenge for today I thought I was going to have real trouble with it but I didn't lol but at the end I thought Michelle you made it too simple, but really I had to work within the confines of the challenge so here it is. . .

After publishing it I ran the sponge dauber around the edges of the printed paper with SU Chocolate Chip to jazz it up a bit, which you can see below is a bit of an improvement.  So there you have it #55 done and dusted.

Blog Awards aplenty- It's long

Good evening everyone well in the last week I have been honoured to receive three awards from some very talented women indeed and to be chosen by design team members is a real honour indeed.  Not to mention that the beautiful Rose nominated me for the Kreativ Blog award and the Lemonade award. . . to be nominated not once but twice, I am truly blessed.  So there are rules for the Kreativ Blog award and they are as follows:

1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award.
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
3. Link to the person who nominated you for this award.
4. Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting.
5. Nominate 7 Kreativ Bloggers.
6. Post links to 7 blogs you nominate.
7. Leave a comment on each of the blogs, letting them know they have been nominated

So many thanks Rose for both awards.

- Link back to the person who gave you the award to show your appreciation.

So I have chosen 5 people to receive this award and they are as follows:

3. Jan Rogers another artist who inspires me
4. Becky Roberts who does the most amazing tutorials with Stampin' Up! products
5. Paula Tracy whose work is absolutely stunning.

Now the last award was from Vicky and it was Your Blog makes us smile and I am honoured to receive that award, my heartfelt thanks Vicky.  I am not quite sure what I have to do in relation to forwarding this award on so if anyone knows please comment on my blog.

WOW what a long post but very worth it I think.  Now all I have to do is go to all the winners blogs and let them know what they have won.  Every person I nominated for various awards deserved them they truly inspire me on a daily basis for all different reasons and too many to list here.

365 Cards - #54

Hello everyone, I have been so unwell this week and have been unable to create anything which has killed me because I have so enjoyed the challenge of creating each day and I wanted so badly to continue and I will but I went down like a sack of potatoes with a gastro bug that my whole family had. . . so unpretty!!!  My very sincere apologies to the beautiful women who have nominated me for awards as I have been unable to do anything about since I got sick but I have worried about it so much lol.  I am truly honoured to have been chosen by four different women for an award.  I was chuffed indeed *smiles*  It's truly amazing how quickly people bond online isn't it?  I feel like I have known all of you for longer than two weeks hehehe.  Looking forward to a long relationship here at 365 cards, so without further ado here is my project for today. . .

The challenge was to create something by recycling so I chose a baby milk formula tin to pretty up.  I do sell these tins but I did this one especially for the challenge.  I use them for scraps on my craft table and as cardmakers and scrapbookers you all know how much rubbish one collects and these tins are the perfect size to sit on your desk.

Well that's me for today and I so enjoyed getting back to it even if a little shaky doing it lol.  I have the headache from hell but I choose to ignore it for now.

Creative Space Thursday

Ok once again it is that time of the week where I get to peek into other peoples creative spaces.  I have been so sick this past week I have done nothing but mope and sleep.  But I managed to drag my butt into my craft room and take some pics just minutes ago like I mean at 5.45pm lol.  I have thought about it all day but just did not have the energy.  Anyway without making one wait a minute longer here is my space for this week. . .

This is the new Cuttlebug folders I purchased on E Bay this week with the new Stampin' Up! Catty which has my recent order inside it.  I have a whole lot of goodness coming my way from the new catty within the next couple of days and I cannot wait!!!

This is the unmounted Flourishes stamp set I also won on E Bay this week.  I cannot express to you how much I love flourishes.  They complete me!!! hehehehe and beside it you will see just a hint of what's in the next pic and that is . . .

Yep you guessed it an old sheet music book,  three old hinges, some old lace still on the original card and look at that little antique key.  Is it not beautiful.  I made these purchases the other day when my daughter and I went down to Uralla on a road trip.   I can't wait to receive my Tim Holtz products this week or early next week so I can put these little beauties to work on a project or two.  Well that is my space this week. . . not much but is all I could muster the energy for sorry everyone.  If you would like to take a peek at other creative spaces please pop on over to Kootoyoo's  and check them all out. .

365 Cards - #48

Ok I need to clear something up with you all before I show my entry for today.  Please don't misunderstand me about yesterdays challenge. I never meant that I didn't like Amy's challenge at all. . . sorry Amy, really I am.  I thoroughly enjoyed the process of making the card but did not like my own choices of stamps etc is all.  I think the concept of it was fantastic and when I saw all the other beautiful entries I thought 'of course, of course, now I see what I could have done'  DUH!!  When I read everyone's lovely comments I just thought I had better clarify what I meant.

Anyway that being said today's card also posed a dilemma for me I thought 'how am I going to present this' but I came up with an idea and went from there lol.  You should see inside my head sometimes. . . not pretty girls!!!  I have a scoring blade thingo on my cutter so I just made it up as I went along but I think it turned out ok.  You be the judge and see for yourself.  So without further dithering from me here is my entry for #48. . .

I did the grid pattern on the vanilla cardstock.

As you can see on the blue cardstock I did a grid pattern as well

Over all the card turned out really well I thought.  Anyway in the meantime. . .

Creative Space Thursday

Hi there everyone, we all know what today is don't we?  Yep that's right it is Creative Space Thursday!!  A day that I love as it is the day where I get to peek into other creative peoples' creative spaces.  I have been fairly busy this past week as you will see.  I decided to join into some card creating challenge sites and it has been non stop since.  So without further ado here is my space for this week.  Please enjoy the journey through my space. . .

This is my machine space. . . my Cuttlebug, my Bind-It-All, and my Cricut Create and behind that is a beautiful canvas that was gifted to me by an amazing spiritual woman - Anna.  Look within the picture and you will see images peeking through. . . it's quite amazing!!

This is the first corner of my creative station where I make all my projects.

This is the other end of my creative station where my folder of cardstock sits as well as my scrapbooking printed 12 x 12 papers are in the folders on top.  (These are just the current ones lol)

A middle view of my work station and the cards in view there are the ones I have uploaded to the various challenge sites.  I tell you it is the best decision I have made it got me out of my rut I was in and it keeps me creating which is a jolly good thing indeed.

Another shot, geez I must have been snap happy this morning with the sun shining into my space it was absolutely glorious to see after the rain.

The basket here has some of my smaller amounts of ribbon spooled onto the old fashioned dolly pegs which someone told me about, a really good idea as it saves all that tangled mess one tends to get in their ribbon stash.

Another shot of my finished cards. . .

Finally the supplies for my next project (Ssshhh it's a secret)  no not really I just have not decided what I am going to make with it just that I wanted that combination for my next project hehehehe.

Well that is it for my space this week people.  I hope you enjoyed the trip around my space.  I do have a whole craft room around that table but it is not where I get my creative spurt from lol it is from life, my surroundings, books I read, people I meet and last but not least. .  my crazy mixed up head.
You should pop on over to Kootoyoo's blog to check out all the other amazing creative spaces.  Go on I dare you. . .
In the meantime. . .
