365 Cards - #303 - With A Flourish

Well Bloggers here I am finally doing a card after such a long while. I have been so busy doing other things like getting christmas orders completed and sent out and making a mini album for my first mini album swap. . . .which was so exciting to be involved in and I received mine but cannot post about it or post pics of mine until the recipient receives hers in the mail lol. I hope you all had a wonderful christmas as did I. I got the best pressie of all time which was a video camera from my man and my youngest daughter so that I can start making you tube videos on tutorials etc. I have to say though I have done a couple of practise runs and I gotta say I sound like a bit of a dick (sorry but the only word that fitted lol) so I deleted them but will keep practising until I am happy with the outcome and then I will upload them.

Today over at 365 Cards Pam has asked that our card include 3 flourishes and they can be stamped, rub-ons, patterned paper etc. Two weeks ago I received in the mail from a lovely chick down in Adelaide a bag of Top Note die cuts from SU which is not available yet in Australia but will be next year. . . .yay!!!! Mel bought hers on E Bay and posted one of each cardstock colour that SU has to me. Is that not the nicest thing girls? Mel also sent me so many different brads that I thought it was christmas (which it was) and then the very next week she sent me another parcel which was so full to the brim of all sorts of scrapbooking goodies and I was totally blown away by her generosity. . . . thanks so much Mel. So I had to make use of them and use one in my first card for a while today. I have two stamped flourishes and two die cut flourishes on my card so I have four in total just to cover myself hehehe.

Okay girls that is all from me today. I am now going to read a bit of my christmas book that I got from my daughter and son in law, which is Matthew Reilly's newest book which I have been waiting for, for two years. It is non stoppable action packed reading and I cannot put it down.

Another Order Completed. . . .

Another christmas order ready to go out. The request was to make it a little vintage and I think I achieved that. . . .well I'm hoping I have lol. This goes into the post tomorrow. Now all I have left is my Mums christmas presents to make and then orders are completed. I sent off a parcel to the US this afternoon to a wonderful friend so I hope she enjoys all the goodies inside when it arrives.

Okay I am off to bed now as I have a day in the shop tomorrow doing several massages and also have an aromatherapy consultation for an aging Mum who has arthritis and also wants her hands massaged. I am looking forward to this as I know my own Mum gets so much relief from having her arthritic hands massaged by me. So if I can help this woman alleviate the pain in some small way it will make my day that much better. Whatever you do do it well.

Simple Doodles Guest Designer

For the month of December I was chosen to be a guest designer over on Simple Doodles. Due to family crisis I have been unable to fulfil my obligations up until now and my sincere apologies go to Trish the owner of Simple Doodles. I will try and post regularly from now until the end of the month. Trish has been very generous in providing me with lots of digital images and Santa below is a new image for her. So I decided to play with him as it is the season lol. The red fibre on the side of the card I bought at Spotlight and it has a glittery type look to it which is so groovy for this time of year so I bought a green one as well. Both will be nice on my mini album swap I am doing with a girl in the US. I also ran the edges of the Riding Hood Red cardstock the Versamark pad and then put gold embossing powder on the edges. I have always liked this uneven look and was doing it to my cards about 18 years ago lol. Everything comes back sooner or later do you agree? When I showed a beautiful friend of mine the card for her to critique she said to add in white gel pen the words Ho Ho Ho which I did and I normally have nice handwriting but do you think I could do it nicely for the card?. . . . . NO OF COURSE NOT LOL!! Needless to say I was stuck with it. The designer paper is from SU Ski Slope paper pack which I just love.

Okay I think that is it people. Don't forget to leave comments as I just want to know that there are people out there who visit my blog even though I have been tardy of late, I will try to make up for it.

Hi everyone. I guess you have all been wondering where I have been lately. There has been so much happening in my life lately with sickness in the family to trying to get christmas orders out. I have not had time to make any cards. . .oh well I tell a little lie there today I made one for Simple Doodles but I cannot show you yet so you will have to wait for that little gem to get approved first. My first pic is of a grocery pad which has magnets on the back so you can put it on your fridge. I forgot to add some ribbon to the side as a pen holder on this particular one which is my own creation, after some modification of Angie's over at Chic n Scratch's blog.

The second one is a post it note organiser and this pic is of the inside of the organiser with a pouch on the left side for receipts etc or stamps.

This is the front cover of the post it note organiser and I made this one a little vintage as it is an order.

These next three cards were a workshop I just did recently and I had so much fun completing them. The flourish is amazing and can be used on all sorts of projects.

This is my second creation in the workshop. . .

And this is the last one I made from the workshop. Aren't they just the prettiest cards, I really love how they turned out.

Sorry that I have been absent from my blog for so long everyone but it could not be helped. I hope to get back into the swing of things in the next week or so. So please keep coming back as you may be surprised what you see next time around *grins*.

Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge

I thought this challenge looked great today so I decided to sit at my workstation and put a card together. The sketch is from Our Creative Corner and what the design team created inspired me to put my card together.

This is my interpretation of the above sketch. I hope you enjoy it. I had a lot of fun making it which is a good thing as I have been rather out of sorts with my cardmaking lately so I need to get back in the saddle and get cracking on some creativity.
