Sasya's Sketches #21

Hello everyone. It is Friday evening late here at the moment and I thought I would do this challenge before heading to bed as I have to work all day tomorrow in the library. I will be doing Sasya's Sketches as my very good friend Sherry got onto their design team the other day and we play together on Skype on a regular basis so we may as well do this sketch together lol.

Above is the sketch we were to follow this week and below is my interpretation of the above sketch. Once again I used October Afternoon Thrift Shop collection which I am totally in love with. I thought I would add one of the die cuts cards this time and I just put the words "I miss you" on there which is a nice reason to send a card when you are missing someone in your life but have not touched bases with them in a while don't you agree?

Onto a different note. . . .On Fridays I have both my girls over with the grandbabies but I have to say as much as I love and adore my grandbabies I am so glad to see them waving bye to Nannie hehehehe. They are so full on when they are all together. I love having them here but around 4pm they start getting ratty and cranky and it is difficult to keep them happy lol. I have so many grey hairs now hehehehe. I just collapsed into my lounge chair when they all went but then I only got 5 minutes relief as I had to do a massage. What is that saying. . .no rest for the wicked, now ain't that the truth people!!
Okay I am off to bed but will be back with something tomorrow night I hope.

My Circle Journal

Hello again everyone. Below is my new circle journal which I will be sending away for other women who will be part of my circle to do a double page spread in my journal and I will be doing the same thing to every one of theirs. When it returns to you after several months of travelling it will be a complete journal for you to treasure for always. I have titled my journal "The Divine Feminine" and that is what the journal will be about, so every woman that does a spread in my journal will do their interpretation of what the divine feminine is to them.

I am sorry the pics are so dark with my new room the lighting is all wrong so from now on I will have to take my pics at my work desk with my ott lights on them for a clearer pic.

I have used the Graphic 45 -Fashionista paper collection. I made my own lace flowers and paper flowers using Prima E Line flowers, it is also a Prima E Line pearl swirl lol. I used SU Crystal Effects on my tag as it will be used as a bookmark so I wanted it to be durable. I hope you liked my journal and I plan to have another project for you tomorrow.

Hello again I told you I would try and be a better blogger and that I had some more projects to show you lol. Today once again I am using October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper collection and this time everything is by October Afternoon except for the ribbon which was a free gift with one of my purchases. Man this is such a lovely collection isn't it? I have been coveting this image but today I thought why not, just use it. . . . and here we are!! I made this card for no particular reason other than I wanted to use this paper collection once again hehehehe.

Okay people that is all I have today make sure to check back tomorrow for another project

CPS- Card Sketches #177

Hello everyone. Sorry to have been MIA lately I am such a bad blogger, just ask Sherry she will tell you lol. I thought I had better extract the digit and make some cards as this is why I started my blog. I chose CPS - Card Sketches this week as I quite liked the sketch as you can see below.

This is my interpretation of the above sketch using October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper collection which I just adore and Websters Pages lace trim. I used SU Kraft and Riding Hood Red cardstock as well as their Signo white gel pen and then I also used their bird punch which I also love. I stamped the image onto the bird using Riding Hood Red stamp pad and Old Olive to highlight the branch. Let me know what you think I would be happy to hear your opinions.

Okay that is all I have but I do have some other projects which I will share with you over the coming days.

Sasya's Sketches #19

Hi everyone. . . it has been a little while again but I have been working so hard at the library this past week or so because of school holidays that I have not felt much like crafting by the time I get home again each evening.
Over the weekend Sherry did this challenge from Sasya's Sketches and as I loved the layout I decided to take part as well. I really like it.

So, above is the sketch we are to follow of course lol. . . .

. . . .and this is my interpretation of the sketch. I used my brand new Invoke Arts Fleur de Lis stamp and inked it up with Rose Red SU ink. Cardstock in Kraft, Old Olive and Rose Red is also from SU. DSP is from My Minds Eye and is on the bottom half of the card and also one strip behind the image. The image is from the internet, ribbon from my stash and the mini rose is a Prima mini rose.
Okay I officially commence uni studies tomorrow so it will be a big day studying and getting into my first module *grins* and my daily reward will be to come into my craft room and that will only be if I complete all tasks I set for myself. That is all for me tonight.

Just Because. . . .

Hello again everyone. . . I have some rather exciting news that I want to share with you. I applied to university several weeks ago now to do a Bachelor in Information Services (Librarianship). I was accepted into university and I commence on the 12th July which is only next week. I will be studying externally part time as I am working in our town library as well and doing two subjects a semester for now to see how the study load will go. I will be trying to upkeep my blog as well and it should not be too hard as I still need to create for my own sanity lol and sometimes I love coming into my craftroom and just making a card just because which is what I have done tonight.

Cardstock and ink are Stampin' Up! and the stamp set is Fox and Friends from the Autumn mini also Stampin' Up! Ribbon, DSP and brads are from my stash. This is something different for me as I don't normally do cute but I love this stamp set.
Okay I am off to bed now as it has been a long afternoon teaching young children jewellery making in the library for holiday activities.

FTL #97

Well hello everyone. . .I bet you all thought I had fallen of the face of the earth lol. We moved house and it took our internet provider a month to get us reconnected even with me jumping up and down and complaining loud and long and threatening to take the matter to the telecommunications ombudsman did not work. I just had to wait it out and now here I am finally back on deck. If Sherry did not see a post from me soon she was going to disown me for sure. For my first challenge in a while I chose the Clean and Simple challenge which was nice and easy. I don't do clean and simple well because I always want to add a bit more and a bit more after that. It was very difficult to stop at what you see before you. All supplies are by Stampin' Up! except for the strip of green dsp which is from my stash.

Okay girls that is all from me for now but I will be back with more I can promise you that.
