365 Cards - #184 - Movie Monday

Today over at 365 Cards the challenge is Movie Monday and Pretty In Pink which is in honour of the very recently late John Hughes movie from the 80's. The challenge is to be inspired by the movie in whichever way it inspires you personally. I saw the movie in the 80's and loved it.

My card is inspired by the colour pink but the Tim Holtz ticket with LIVE on it is what the movie is all about living at 16 years old. I had a lot more pink on my card but took a lot off because I am a little over do monochromic cards which is what I tend to lean towards a lot. So, consequently I peeled off a lot of the pink lol and replaced it with other colours like Green lol.

I had fun doing my card today and as you can see I even got my old crimper out which is nearly 20 years old lol from my Print Gocco days. Alrighty then that's it from me today.

365 Cards - #183 - Super Sketchy Sunday

It is Super Sketchy Sunday over at 365 Cards today and what a sketch it is. As you can see below this is the sketch Pam had us follow.

This is my interpretation of the sketch. I used the DCWV Once Upon A Time paper stack as well as their Neutrals textured paper stack.

Finally here is a pic of my little grandson Elijah. I spent the day with my daughter Courtney and the children but they were both sick with the flu (I wonder why). Elijah had just woken from his sleep in a very unhappy mood and Lily was still asleep when I left as she has been really unwell with high temps and all and was very unhappy. Courtney is taking her to the doctors tomorrow. Elijah was pointing to the light and this is the nearest I could get to a smile from my boy today lol he was giving nothing away at all. As a matter of fact the only thing that perked him up a little was bringing him home with Nanny for a visit with Poppa and Sophie (his cousin) and of course Aunty whom he adores. Gosh I love my grandchildren. Look at him is he not the most handsome little boy? I can never refuse him anything and he knows he can get around his Nanny.

Okay folks that is all from me today I will try and get a pic of Lily later this week and post a pic of her she is getting cuter by the day and will turn one next weekend we are having a fairy party for her.

365 Cards - #182 - Sporty Saturday

Well I was not going to do the challenge today over at 365 Cards because I had nuthin' and I mean nuthin' in my stash that I could use, I cannot draw to save myself so drawing a ball or whatever was not going to work either. Sherry, bless her came to my rescue and sent me two images that she was going to use but didn't and I chose the one below on my card. That is the only reason I have a card at all today, so my thanks to you Sherry *grins*

My card is simple and clean and that is all that you are gonna get out of me today because sports related anything is not my forte and this was a definite challenge for me lol. Don't get me wrong I love watching our country at the Olympics etc but that is as far as it goes now that the girls are grown and no longer participate in sports related activities. I guess it will start all over again once the grandchildren are going to school. Okay I am off for the day as mine is just starting.

Get Sketchy challenge #3

I am feeling a lot better today so I decided to branch out and do some other challenges and I had been meaning to do Get Sketchy's challenges since the beginning but you know sickness waits for nobody!!! So here it is the third challenge in and I am finally well enough to join in. This is the sketch that we were to follow this week.

And this is my interpretation of the above sketch. I hope you like it, it's a little different for me but I think I like it. The more I look at it the more I am digging it lol. Of course the sentiment is computer generated from my head (messy place that), that beautiful black lace and the butterfly stamp are from Sherry, (thankyou again Sherry).

Okay enough waffling for today. That is it from me.

365 Cards - #181 - White Space

Today over at 365 Cards the challenge is all about white space and we could only use the space where the two black lines are to put designer papers, embellishments, sentiments within those black lines because Pam thought we had been getting it too easy. So Pam made it more difficult for us today lol.

I chose SU Kraft cardstock and Basic Grey designer paper. I used Bella Alphas in pink and Bella chipboard shapes which I covered in Ranger Distress Ink Tattered Rose and then in Prisma Glitter. I added depth to the Kraft strip by running it through the Cuttlebug with the new Victorian embossing folder and then coloured it with Ranger Peeled Paint and Tattered Rose distress inks and smooged it all around lol.

I hope you like my creation today as simple as it is. I am feeling a lot better today thanks to the antibiotics doing their job.

365 Cards - #180 - Going Vintage

Today is my day over at 365 Cards as it is all about Going Vintage!!! As soon as I saw it I went straight to my work desk and got to it. The designer paper I used for the scalloped edging and the background was from a new pack that I got on Monday from my bestie Sonya. . .Hi Love!! It is from Grant Archival and it is the Vintage Collection. I love it. The image itself is from some vintage paper that my daughter had in her stash and then passed it along to me so it has been here for a while lol and today she came out so too speak hehehe. I used this crocheted lace that I bought from a market some time ago which when you pull a thread it actually gathers. . .cool!! So I made my flower out of it with one of my vintage pearl buttons in the centre. The textured cardstock is using one of the new Cuttlebug Folders - Victorian and that is that my friends!

I cannot believe I finished my card this early in the evening as it is only 4.45pm here in Australia and I only saw the challenge at 3.50pm so not bad going lol.

365 Cards - #179 - Checkerboard Background

Today over at 365 Cards the challenge was to have a checkerboard background and how you embellish the card is up to you. So I did my checkerboard background and then I used these new Bella chipboard shapes that I bought a few weeks ago down in Uralla near Tamworth. This is the first time I have used them and I was itching to use the crown and could not wait any longer. I used Ranger distress ink on both the heart and the crown and then embellished it with Kaisercraft rhinestones.

Okay short and sweet today for you. Thanks to everyone for your well wishes I think the antibiotics are doing their job but I hate taking them.

365 Cards - #178 - Back To School

I know, I know, I know I have been away for a while but truth be told that dreaded flu virus I had returned with a vengeance!!!! I ended up in bed again and oh so much sicker with it. Yesterday after being away visiting family on the weekend and coughing day and night I finally said to Ray (hubby) I have to go to the doctors to find out what is wrong with me this is not a normal flu. My doctor suspects Whooping Cough and so she took a swab of my throat and I will know in another day or so what the outcome is.I am also on antibiotics for it just in case. She did say however that I could have got another bout of flu directly on top of the other one which made sense because it was the same symptoms but a lot worse. I have not tasted one thing in over three weeks nor smelt my patchouli perfume or anything else for that matter for the same amount of time and on occasion that could be good due to a grandaughter in nappies lol. So consequently, I have to keep my distance from the grandchildren or anyone else for that matter who has not been immunised against Whooping Cough. Well all my family have as have the grandchildren but you never know these days who immunises and who doesn't. I still don't have a clear voice either as it fades in and out constantly lol sometimes it sounds sexy (according to Ray) and other times it sounds like a high pitched hyena!!! Anyway on with my card and I have to say this is the first day I have felt like making a card since last week so I took advantage of that. The challenge today was to have a back to school theme - other than that anything goes. So I chose to use a blackboard and I then took my white gel pen and had fun writing on the blackboard. Then I created a set of crayons again writing on them and for the sentiment I decided to also write that as well. Therefore no stamps were used except for the SU Tart & Tangy stamp set for the apple.

I hope you enjoy my card today and I also hope that I am back on deck to stay this time.

365 Cards - #172 - ABC's & 123's

Today over at 365 Cards the challenge was to create a card using alphabet stickers and at least one number. Don't have alphabet stickers? Then if you have a stamp set with individual letters and numbers then that would qualify as well. I did not have number stickers only alphabet stickers so I had to use a stamp set for the number 4. I'm not really fussed on my card today but you get that sometimes.

Okay since it is past midnight I am off to bed.

365 Cards - #170 - Double Duty & #171 - Tuesday's Trio

I am playing catch up over at 365 Cards so for day 170 it was Double Duty which meant that you had to make a card that could double up as something else like a bookmark, place card or pocket card but could not be a gift card or money card. So I chose to do a Post It Note Organiser. It looks like a card from the outside and inside it has two different sized post it note pads, a pen and a pocket on the left hand side. The pen has been matched using the same SU Designer paper as the pocket and the background on the front of the card.

This is the inside of the card/organiser.

On day 171 it was Tuesday's Trios and we had to incorporate a triangle, buttons and a sticker.

So you can see that I made my whole card into a triangle, there are three buttons down on the lower right hand side of the card, and the sticker is above the friends sentiment. Challenge met! Okay for me there will be another day coming up soon as it usually comes into my blog at about 3.30p-4p because we are 15 hours ahead of you in the USA. So I will get going and see you all again later on.

365 Cards - #169 - Super Sketchy Sunday

Today over at 365 Cards it is Super Sketchy Sunday and below is the sketch we had to follow.

This is my interpretation of the sketch. I used Basic Grey's Boxer collection of papers which I purchased the other day but only about five different prints in 12 x 12 papers from the collection. I mounted the sketch onto SU Really Rust cardstock and used SU Hemp Twine and brad as well as Papercrafts flowers. That is it.

365 Cards - #168 - Touch Of Toile

Today over at 365 Cards the challenge was Toile!!! I almost kicked the bucket on the spot!! What in the world was Toile???? Had absolutely no clues whatsoever, nada, zilch, zero, the big nought!!! So after sleeping on it or should I say sulking on it I decided to do what any self respecting card maker would do and went and did an image search on google. What I came up with was the print you now see on my card. No fuss no embellishments other than ribbon, just TOILE!! I thought the image was busy enough and effective enough to stand on it's own. So from a sheer panic to the finished product. . . .nice!! Now Pam you have to stop giving this girl a heart attack. . .you know I am getting over the flu, nothing to hard or strenuous, just nice and easy not TOILE!!!!!! Just kidding.

Okay now that I have that off my chest because I have other nasties taking prime position there, lol I am going over to my daughters today to spend some quality time with the grandchildren and my daughter of course.

365 Cards - #167 - "Gift" Card

The challenge today over at 365 Cards was to create a "gift" card. So the idea was to turn your card into a gift, and make it look like a beautifully wrapped present. I chose SU Pink Pirohuette and Whisper White cardstock. The gift tag is a chipboard tag covered with SU designer paper and stamped on. The white cardstock was half embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF. The pink glitter flowers are from The Sticker Cafe and of course the ribbon is from SU. I thought the spash of SU Certainly Celery on the gift tag was just enough to break all the pink and white but is it too much of a break? I really don't know but I don't think it works. I have had the pink glitter flowers for nearly two years now and I got them from my Mum as part of my scrapbooking Christmas present but have never had cause to use them until now and they came in very handy.

The stamp set is from that same set that I used on my card recipe this morning, so even that is getting a good workout lol. Okay that is it I am off to bed now.

365 Cards - #166 - Card Recipe

Today over at 365 Cards the challenge was a card recipe and your card had to be a 4 x 7 sized card, 3 x patterned papers, 5 x blossoms, wet embossing and had to include glitter. I was q uite happily making my card and then I thought I would put ribbon on between the two bottom patterned papers so I cut the slit on the left side of the card and placed the ribbon on and I thought Mmmm that looks great and then I realised that I was not supposed to have ribbon on it. . . .DOH!!!! So I had to remove it (but I will replace it once pics and post are done). I put glitter in the middle of each flower and the stamp set I used (a real cheapy one) I have had sitting in my stash for quite some months so I decided to ink her up. I used Ranger Distress inks in Black Soot and Fired Brick and then embossed them with clear embossing powder. I also edged the flowers in Black Soot. I used DCWV La Creme (my new one) paper stack. The flowers are Kaisercraft and the black shimmer cardstock is from my stash. Okay that is it and since I have virtually listed all my supplies in the post I will not bother with a supply list at the end.

The glitter glue is not quite dry but I was getting impatient to do my post so it will look better when they are dry. That is it for me. I want to thank everyone for all your well wishes and I gotta say that this is the first day in over a week that I have felt better than I have been. Still have little to no voice and no sense of smell or taste but don't feel so weak and queasy. This is good!!

365 Cards - #164 & #165 Colour Scheme & Shape Up

I am playing catch up due to illness. So here are my cards for 365 Cards for days 164 and 165. The first one here is day 165 and the challenge was Shape Up - A Star had to be the dominant shape on your card. I chose a deceased SU set All In The Stars which has hardly been inked up. The SU DP is also a deceased one and the ribbon is from my stash.

For day 164 the challenge was a colour challenge and I had this DCWV Butterflies & Blossoms paper stack which had the pastel version of the colour scheme so I used it for this challenge.
As you can see both cards are fairly simplistic but to be honest at least I got them done because my bed has been calling my name all week. The outstanding part of this card is the fact that I have used my very first set of Nestabilities for it. I received this set of Nesties in the post today from a very kind and generous friend to which my sincere thanks go to and to top it off my bestie Sonya turned up and had bought me a new paper stack from DCWV plus some flower embellishments so with two parcels arriving in the one day I was a very happy camper.
Okay until later on this evening with a brand new days challenge. Seeya.

365 Cards - #163 - Try A Technique - Masking

The challenge today over at 365 Cards is Try A Technique - Masking. I chose the SU Fifth Ave Floral for this technique. I also used my Derwent Watercolour pencils and the colour I chose for the pink coloured flowers was far too in your face and the more I tried to soften it the louder it got so I gave up in disgust. So I am warning you now to put your sunglasses on okay. The rest of the card is self explanatory but I will list it all the the supply list. I have no voice today and the family are loving it. My little baby grandaughter, Sophie keeps looking at me weirdly as if to say "why do you sound so different Nanny?" lol. Okay I am off to bed now that my card is done.

More Blog Candy

There's Magic In The Air blog is also having a give away to celebrate their new blog. You need to get on over there to take a look. You gotta be in it to win it as the saying goes!!! I also participated in their first challenge as well with a free digi image that Nina so kindly shared with us all who wish to use it, but please leave her a comment so she knows where Orson is going, that's not a lot to ask is it?

Blog Candy

If you have not been over to Craftypagan's blog then please go and have a look. I found her blog quite by accident the other day while I was sick and can I say she is the most talented card maker I have ever seen and that is without a word of a lie people. My mouth dropped to the floor when I saw her creations. Her paper choices and embellishments and placement of everything are quite spectacular, the colours rich and vibrant. Rowena has just made the design team at Sugar Nellies and I can understand why!!! So to celebrate she is giving away some beautiful stuff, swing on over and take a look, you will want to follow her (I did and have) and I keep going back to take a look and more pages when I have free time. Man o man the talent, gosh if I had half of it I would be over the moon. Rowena is giving away 5 new Sugar Nellie stamps of your choice, you pick 'em she will pay for 'em!! Cannot get any better than that. I'm in because if I win then it will start my long overdue collection of Sugar Nellie stamps.

Magic In The Air challenge #1

Well this is a new challenge blog I found thanks to Patti. The digi image was a free image on the new blog so I chose to use it for the first challenge (at least I think it is the first) The challenge blog is called There's Magic In The Air so pop on over and wish Nina good luck and while you are there take a look around. This challenge was all about celebration and I chose to make it a Happy Birthday celebration, after all being a new blog it has to have a BIRTHday doesn't it?? I used my Derwent watercolour pencils to colour Orson in and I really liked the way he turned out on SU Kraft cardstock. I had some Prisma glitter in my stash which is about 17 years old and still going strong for the icing on the cake and DCWV Recycled paper stack for the DP. Stampin' Up! for the sentiment, Kraft and Creamy Caramel cardstock. SU White gel pen for the little dot in Orsons eyes. Ribbon from my stash but I think it is American Craft Company. Enjoy!!

365 Cards - #162 - Super Sketchy Sunday

It is Super Sketchy Sunday over at 365 Cards today. I am feeling well enough to make todays card but will be heading off to bed as soon as it is done. I would like to thank you all for you well wishes over the last couple of days and when I told Ray all your lovely comments he said "Oh Shell you didn't tell them you had help did you? I didn't expect any nice comments for helping you love, I did it because I love you!!" Brought tears to my eyes I tell you he is so humble. The sketch today is quite simple and you know I love complicated more than simple but thems the. . . . . . . yep you said it. . .them's the rules folks!!! I did simple and I so wanted to add more to it and almost had to sit on my hands to stop myself lol My card is using DCWV Once Upon A Time stack and the image and bottom sentiment are from a vintage pack I bought from a cheap shop for $2. The top sentiment is a Wendy Irving sentiment. Thats all folks!!

365 Cards - #160 - Lovely Lace

I am playing catch up today over at 365 Cards because I have been so sick. Now you all know what my day 161 was like very plain and simple so I thought I would make up for it today and go the extra nine yards so to speak. This challenge was all about adding lace to your card and I decided to cut up one of my vintage lace doilies that I purchased from an antique shop for this very purpose. I have about 6 doilies sitting in my stash of varying sizes and types. I went for the layered look which I adore and all sorts of textures. I hope you enjoy my card today.

This is it until later on today as it is Super Sketchy Sunday on 365 Cards later on. As a matter of fact it is already on the blog but I am keeping Mum about it because I get it first over here in Australia lol. But be warned girls you are gonna love it!!! I'm just saying is all!

365 Cards - #161 - Cool Collage

I'm sorry everyone for not keeping up with the challenges over at 365 Cards but I have been sick in bed since lunch time Friday with the Flu. I tried to make my card yesterday but was too sick to, so I am out of bed today long enough to do my card for today and will catch up with the other one tomorrow if I feel any better. I have only had the flu twice in my life the first time I was pregnant with Ashleigh and she is now nearly 21. I was in bed for a week then. You should have seen me people I was crying like a little girl cause I was sick and shaky and miserable to the point that Ray (My husband) wanted to take me to the hospital (in case it was swine flu) so he rang them and they told him if she gets any worse bring her straight up. Well I tell you I was not going to say a word even if I got sicker hehehe I hate hospitals!!! I only got out of bed today because my bones were hurting from being in bed for so long but I didn't last long. Ok enough is enough I need to get back to my bed. My card tonight is a joint effort with my hubby as I was sooking saying I was too sick lalalala and all the rest. Ray said to leave it and do it tomorrow to which my reply was (whiney like) I can't then I will have three to catch up on hehehehe I am laughing because I get really sooky when I get really sick. I need smacking sometimes when I hear myself. But last night I could not stand alone so Ray bless him, showered me, dried me and re-dressed me and put me back to bed. How tragic does that sound? I need smacking!!! So I digress. . .Ray helped me with this card or it was not going to get done. I went for so simple it's laughable.

This card is not the normal me and I apologise for that, but Ray mainly did all the placing etc and thankyou love, for that (he will probably read this *grins) So without further waffling from me because you all know I do that a lot. I am going back to bed.

365 Cards - #159 - Setting The Scene - Indoors

Today over at 365 Cards the challenge was to set the scene indoors. So our card had to have an interior scene on it. I went into a flat panic as I did not have one stamp I could have said that was in any way shape or form an inside stamp lol. So I did what any normal stamper would do in this situation and went shopping online for a digi stamp. I found my image at SquiggleFly. I decided to paper piece it and man was that a mistake. Talk about fiddley lol I am getting the flu again so I am not feeling well AGAIN!!!! I tell you I never used to get sick at all and very rarely got a cold or flu but this year I have been sick with one or the other 4 or 5 times. We have the Swine Flu in our town too so I am worried about that. Anyway on with the days card hey. You all don't pop over to hear my woes I'm sure heehee. Below is my card and that is all I can say about it because I am not happy with the result other than the jolly flower in the right corner lol. I paper pieced the lounge and the little girls dress. The rest I coloured with my Derwent watercolour pencils.

Okay because it is so late I am finished for the night as it is now 1.56am here in Australia.

365 Cards - #158 - What's Your Sign?

It is another day and another card today over at 365 Cards. Today's challenge is to put a sign on your card. You can use a stamp, patterned paper, or create a sign out of the card. I had this image in my head that I wanted to use but it not translate the way I wanted it too, to paper. I wanted it a lot murkier, darker, slimier etc. I, unfortunately could not put that on paper the way I saw it in my head. I was doing an early Halloween card even though we don't celebrate that over here in Australia I still love it. I love everything about it. Okay on with the details of my card. I masked a circle and shaded the night sky and then the rocks below in the swamp were the best colour I could get them. The water should have been a little darker too but what the heck there is always another day and another card!! Once again I used a stamp from my ancient stash from Stamp Impressions. I used The Timster's birds in flight from one of his sets. The Swamp Hollow sign I created myself and mounted it onto a toothpick which I coloured with Distress inks lightly. I almost wish I had a stamp of a zombie or some kind of monster coming out of the swamp, I guess that image will have to stay in my head for now. . .too many scary movies!!!
Well that's it for me today, I will catch you all on the roundabout tomorrow.

365 Cards - #157 - Imagine This - Sunflowers

Okay so today over at 365 Cards the challenge was Sunflowers!!!!! Now as you can see by my first pic I had many to choose from. I have a whole heap of them from my ancient stash as both my daughters when they were young loved sunflowers hence I had lots. The one I actually chose to use was from 1992 so she's an oldie but a goodie as they say. I have Hero Arts stamps there, a Penny Black, a couple of PSX and I forget what the roller one is. I chose to use watercolour paper from my watercolour pad again from my old stash as I went to watercolour classes quite a few years ago now and I still have oodles of watercolour paper. The only SU thing on my card is the black brads and the markers for colouring. The rest is unknown brand stuff from my stash.

I hope you enjoy my card today because I really enjoyed colouring it even if I am a bit rusty! Oh before I go I know I have received quite a few lovely awards from some beautiful women in the last week and I promise I will do a special post tomorrow about them all and nominate etc. Rose I promise I won't forget and thankyou all who gave me those awards *big smile*

365 Cards - #156 - Ad Inspired & A RAK

Okay so today over at 365 Cards the challenge was Ad Inspired by this beautiful pic below and Gloria from the design team chose this as inspiration for our card today. I chose to use the beautiful salmon colour from the flowers and the green from the drawers, the basket below the drawers and I also chose the black handles. Those colours are what I worked with today for my card.

Here is my entry for the challenge today. I was going to use SU Cameo Coral but I had this block of Co'ordinations cardstock which has different colours as the core of the cardstock. I got this block of 6x6 cardstock with my Cuttlebug last year and have only used one piece. . .geez talk about a hoarder!!! Anyway the salmon colour was closer to the colour in the inspirational pic. Now on the flower pot I ran my piece of SU Kraft through the Cuttlebug using the Branches Embossing folder and I tried to run it each way giving it a basket weave look but you all know what happens when you run it through the Cuttlebug again don't you? Yes that's right it takes out the previous embossing. . . .DOH!!! Again I just cut a pot shaped piece of cardstock and that was my flower pot. The black handles on the drawers I chose to decorate the top of my pot.

Now these next pics are from a beautiful woman in the USA. . .Sherry from Button Junkie sent me this and I received it this afternoon. I think this is the nicest bloody thing that anyone has ever done for me and I had a little cry when I received it because things have been crappy lately and I was bemoaning this fact to Sherry a couple of weeks ago, family troubles you know what I mean? During the course of our typed conversation lol we started chatting about RAK's and I said that I would love to become involved in this sort of thing as I love doing RAK for people. I see it all the time on people's blogs as well as organised swaps usually with a theme and my daughter is involved in swaps all the time and she has sent the most beautiful handmade gifts to people, overseas and all and she has received some of the most gorgeous gifts in return from people she does not know or she has not met in person but that is this amazing internet isn't it? It brings people closer and I love that. So I am going to go through each pic and explain exactly what she sent me. . .geez I'm a sook as I am having another little weep as I type this. . .I am blaming menopause ok???? Anyone want to argue? hahahahahahaha!! Man I still got it!! I know this is a long post but I want to do this justice because I received a beautiful gift from a beautiful friend. (she has become so now, and just think it was after I received my blog candy gift that we started chatting together)

Okay in the first pic it is a close up of a inspiring and beautiful card that Sherry made herself which I love and it sits in front of my workspace now so I can smile each time I look at it.

In this pic you will see some Timster word tickets, a bag of metal embellishments with some more Timster word pins. There is also at the back some Timster Journalling tickets and then some assorted ribbons.

Now in this pic you can see not one but two stamp sets!!! One is of all different butterflies and the other. . . .wait for it. . . .YES Tim Holtz stamps!!!! OMG I nearly fell about the room in a swoon when I saw this. Then my next fav thing was some gorgeous vintage Hero Arts flowers which I will never want to use as they were so gorgeous I just want to covet them. Can you see this word coming up a lot in my posts? I am beginning to think I have a problem lol. At the front you can just see some purple Kaiser rhinestones and then right in front is a Quikcutz cookie cutter die. Now I have to add here that it was not until just before this post when I was packing everyone very gently away that I realised that there was not one but two cookie cutter dies and the other one is a small Christmas tree but sorry Sherry it must have been stuck behind the insert of the card or something.

LOL This is a close up showing you all that this is in fact a Tim Holtz stamp set lol. See. . . I'm bragging!

This is an overall shot of my RAK gift from Sherry. Now do you all agree with me that this is indeed the most precious gift? Man I still cannot get over the absolute genorosity of Sherry who herself is not working either. Man it just blows me away it really does. All I can say is thankyou from the bottom of my heart Sherry it means the world to me, receiving this gift from you. Okay if you are still with me I think I have said enough for one evening.
No it's not I wanted to say thankyou to you all for all the encouraging and beautiful comments you all left for me after my Reader of the Week guest spot. . . thankyou all so much my friends.

365 Cards - #155 - Super Sketchy Sunday

This is the sketch for 365 Cards today because it's Super Sketchy Sunday!!!! I didn't get to make my card last night as I went to bed rather early. Getting up in winter for the Sunday markets is a killer and at minus 5 degrees celsius I could not warm up until at least 11am. Could not feel my feet or hands and I swear my nose had a permanent tap attached to it heehee. The market is the first one of the month out of two markets for our area and this is one was considered to be the smaller market of the two. I did really well and sold several of my new pieces which I was thrilled about. Then along came Tess from The Dust Jacket in town (the local book store) and she was oohing and aahing over my stuff as was her teenage daughter. They purchased some pieces and Tess asked me if I would be interested in bringing some of my beautiful cards and my vintage journals that I make down to the shop to sell. I mean, come on people do I have silly written across my forehead? No? Well that's because I am not silly lol and I jumped at the opportunity to have my stuff put into her shop to sell. So this week I will take a whole selection of cards and journals down town to display in The Dust Jacket for sale.. . .yay!!! Then to top it off about 8-10 women are very keen to do my vintage journal class commencing in two weeks!!! How is that for a successful day? Okay enough of my life stuff let's get onto the card.

This is my take on the sketch above. I hope you like it as much as I do. I used some of my brand new Kaisercraft flowers that my bestie picked up on her trip to Sydney for training this past week and delivered to me at the markets yesterday. We share a market stall together lol. I think that is it for me until later on today when Monday brings a whole new week of challenges for us to complete.
