Hi girls and perhaps guys lol. . .well you never know who is going to look at your blog I mean it could be the Timster now could it not? I wish!!
I know I haven't posted for quite some time but life sometimes get in the way even with the best laid plans. But I do have news. My scrubby is making a stand/tripod extension for my video camera so I can start to make vids again. This way I can have the camera directly overhead of my workstation without having to manoeuvre the camera and tripod or contort myself to be sitting at the right angle etc. I will commence over the christmas break while I have some time and for starters I may just do some vids of what I have made lately and then in the very new year I will start tutorials, or maybe not tutorials as such but process vids.
Okay below are just some pics of what I have been up to besides being sick. . .do you know that as one gets older (turned 54 yrs old on the 12th Dec. . .YUCKO!) you get sick more often? Well it seems like it anyway. Once upon a time I never got damn sick but now every time I turn around I have a cold, or tummy bug or if nature really wants to push my buttons then I get them combined, now that is nasty let me tell ya! You may as well get that cuppa that you thought of making you may be a while reading hehehe. I hope you are all organised for Christmas or more organised than me I should state. I am so not organised but then that is how I roll . . .by the seat of my pants ROTFLOL.
Okay the first pic here is of a christmas card using Cosmo Cricket supplies from a very dear friend of mine lol and the second one beside it is using stamps from my ancient stash (18 yrs old) and they still stamp amazingly clear. I like both cards for different reasons.
This second pair of cards is once again christmas cards. The first one is using all SU supplies except for the DSP which is Cosmo again. The red polka dot ribbon is from SU and I use it so very sparingly hehehe. The second card I stamped the image from SU Season of Joy stamp set and embossed it with white embossing powder and I love how it looks on the red cardstock. All supplies are SU except for the DSP and the piece of ribbon.
This third image is for a challenge using my cricut machine and my brand spanking new Gypsy which is a birthday/christmas pressie from my family. I just love my Gypsy so very much. The challenge is to use a cartridge that you have not used and do the project in the beginning of the booklet that comes with the cartridge. This card and the cuts etc are from the Winter Woodland cartridge. All cardstock and inks etc are SU except for the pearl of Rudolphs' nose and the rose which I dabbed gold acrylic paint on for the collar. Although a plain card I still like it *grins*.
Now this lovely charm is for a swap on Regan's blog Emora Designs and it is the christmas swap and the instructions were to make one charm using a Timster swivel clasp and put at least 12 charms/buttons or whatever onto the clasp.
I had so much fun making this charm for my swap partner Anna Fallas in the US. Anna asked for it to be in silver and that was about the only stipulation. I hope she likes it. It is now on its way to the US.
Now this last beauty is for Marions birdhouse challenge. I watched her UStream show the other night and I just loved the little birdhouses. I went to Marions website and purchased the template for US$3.99 and I decided to enter into the challenge which Marion set. Entries have to be in by US time Saturday night which is our Australian Sunday morning. Marion is so talented and I usually watch her shows after the event as the time zone difference sometimes does not marry up. Marion works with Prima now and she creates the most amazing original art pieces. Now the holly leaves on my birdhouse I only purchased today down town in the cheap shop. They had these lovely picks or should I say this was more like a 12 inch stem with about 10 leaves and four beautiful cones, I am going to go back and get more I think. The DSP I used I am unsure of the brand as it was from my stash, but I love the colours of it and the chocolate brown goes so well with the shade of blue don't you think?
Okay peeps we are on the home stretch now and if you are still with me then thanks you are a champion lol.
I used one of my Prima flowers which I normally hoard them as my friends and family will tell you but hey for me they are hard to come by without costing my right arm that is. The small roses are from IAmRoses.com The ribbon is from my stash once again as is the bling I used.
This was so easy to put together I want to make heaps of them. This is an ornament for my tree so I might make my girls one each for their trees.
Okay people that is all for me. I have to get up early for work tomorrow so I had better head off to bed.
In the meantime. . . .
Walk about your day with real beauty.
The Gypsy

HOLY COW Batman...You have been super busy in the creative zone this past week. Love all the cards but my favorites are the 1st set of cards (2nd card) and the birdhouse. You rocked that challenge.
Nice to see you back to posting and creating things to showcase on your blog.
I love the charms you made for your swap partner. One question if you don't mind. How did you attached the buttons? I can't find jump rings big enough.
Thanks,
Laurie

My gosh. Where do I begin? In the first set, I think the snowman is so cute. I love Stampin' Up and have LOTS of their stuff. I have not seen the ribbon. I absolutely love it. I see why you save it. Both of those cards are really cute.
I just got a gypsy as well. I hadn't done much with my cricut previously so this makes it lots easier and lots more fun. I'll be watching for more of your creations. Thanks for sharing.
LeeAnn
I've added myself as a follower of your blog and I've added a link to your site on my blog. Maybe we can keep each other motivated. haha
