365 Cards - #188 - Touchy, Feely Friday

It's Touchy, Feely Friday over at 365 Cards today! The specific challenge was to use felt or flocking on our card and since I was the proud owner of the DCWV Le Creme paper stack thanks to my bestie Sonya I was able to particapate. This paper stack has flocked sheets of 12x12 all the way through the stack so all I had to do was decide which one I wanted and I was away and running lol. The top section of my card has the flocked piece which is the dirty beige/greeny colour of the damask and the bottom piece is just plain, no flocking. I decided to use my favourite stamp set SU Friends 24-7 which has the damask stamp in it which went perfectly with the paper.

That is it for me today since it is rather late and I have to help my daughter tomorrow as we are having a birthday party for Lily which will be her first one. . .and it is a fairy party and everyone including the adults has to wear something glittery even the blokes.
In the meantime. . . .
Walk about your day with beauty.
The Gypsy

Supplies: SU Basic Black and Very Vanilla cardstock. DCWV Le Creme paper stack and textured paper stack. SU Friends 24-7 stamp set and unknown set for the sentiment. Ribbon from my stash. Kaisercraft rhinestones. Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. SU Old Olive and Basic Black stamp pads and large oval punch and scallop oval punch.

La Creme!! Great papers, aren't they?!! I love, love, love the green you've used here. Fab combo, and you're right - that damask stamp is perfection.

I hope you have fun at your glittery fairy birthday party - sound like fun to me!!

Honestly I did not look at the entries until I posted mine. In challenges I don't want to be influenced by others. Looks like we must be a lot alike ;) Yours is beautiful.

Great mix of paper and image, they work very well together.
I love the card, it is very polished and professional looking.

I am doing well, thank you for asking. It gets better every day. We are burying him in 2 hours. It seems so permanent. His cremated remains have been in the car since Friday and there is a camp fire smell to them. It is weird knowing that this is his last up north trip with us. :(

I can't imagine how hard this is on our parents to have to bury one of us. I feel bad for them.

We are just waiting for my sister to get up here. She gets lost in her own back yard. LOL

Hope you are doing well!!!

xxx and love!
