How I Spent Anzac Day

Hi everyone,  Yesterday was Anzac Day for those of us in Australia and New Zealand which is a day that we remember all the fallen soldiers that gave their lives for us to live the lives we choose in earlier wars and conflicts.  Being an ex soldier myself I like to spend this day quietly.  With my family and my bestie and her husband we went out to the dam for a barbeque lunch and it was lovely, peaceful and quiet.  I took some crafting out with me as my bestie had asked me to make her a Mothers Day card for her mum.  The request was for something to do with gardening so I think I mastered it.  Let me know what you think.  I have had the stamp for over 15 years and I have always loved it and as Sonya's mum is an avid gardener this did the job well.  I chose to watercolour it on watercolour paper using Derwent watercolour pencils.

The next four pics are of some beautiful Australian Kangaroos enjoying their own meal out at the dam.  This is what I love about Australia. . . wildlife everywhere in the country.  Kangaroos are a favourite of mine always have been always will be. . . so please enjoy!!

They were enjoying their meal on the grass outside the water park area at the dam with not a person in sight lol.  Well I hope I can join in the challenge over at 365 Cards tomorrow.  I missed not being able to do something for it today but I wasn't slack either just did something else.
So that's it for me today everyone but in the meantime. . .
Walk about your day with beauty.

Hi Michelle, OMG that card is just beautiful - love the way you have coloured it, it does not even look hand made - I am amazed and jealous. The stamp is fantastic - what brand is it?
Looks like the park was nice and peaceful for you.
Have a good night and wonderful Road Trip this week.
Hugs

Love those kangaroos!! My son would LOVE to see something like that! I heard that there is a kangaroo farm here in Georgia, USA that is supposed to mimic Australia. I doubt it does though! LOL

Love that card! the inking and ribbon fit perfectly! Great job!!
